Well, quirky would be a good description. As central as you can possibly get. Very old characterful building, hidden coffee and tea making facilities (didnt find them until we were about to checkout) Would use them again and Chartres is delightful

We spent an evening here, having dinner and listening to a local jazz guitarist and bass player. The food is excellent and probably gave me the best filet steak I've eaten for many a year. But it's the location that makes the place so good. Located next to the Cathedral, we witnessed the beginning of the spectacular Son et Lumiere... More

We stopped in here after a frustrating time at the cathedral and had the best croque monsieur in two trips to France. The restaurant in right at the cathedral and had service both inside and out. The service was quick and the servers quickly took and brought our orders. The meal was reasonably priced and we had a terrific dessert... More

This restaurant is next to a very famous cathedral and as a result they are over priced for what they serve. In addition the food was so awful it was hard to imagine anyone would eat it. The servings were really small and the food was microwaved. The rice was dry and hard as a result. The FFs were cold... More

Across from the cathedral is this cozy, friendly restaurant on 3 levels, serving lovely, home cooked food. It also has rooms to stay and live music at night downstairs in the rock cave.

We really thought this was a tourist trap in front of the cathedral, but we were hungry and decided to enter. Our distrust lasted a few more minuts, until we understood that locals eat here also. We kept it simple, and as always in France, simple food is simply good food. So don't distrust this place. The basic bottle of... More

Delightful small cafe with outstanding food. We had the special which was very reasonably priced and delicious. Stew was perfect for a chilly day. Omelet very light and fluffy!

We have stayed at Least Parvis several times, usually eating in the hotel for breakfast, and evening meals. Breakfast is excellent, evenings menu not vast but quality excellent, try the beef cheek. Weather permitting you can dine outside, the tables face the Cathedral square, perfect for a biere, or the evening aperitif, or dining!

After our tour of the Chartres Cathedral, my husband and I had a choice of three restaurants at noon on a grey October day. People perched, smoking, outside the other two, so we chose this one. We had a nice wine and an excellent three-course meal for a very reasonable price. We both chose the ratatouille entree (yes!), and he... More
