Tiny place on the picturesque street down to the chateau. There's a small 'shop'/bar on the way in, a little dining room on the left with an even smaller room upstairs and a garden area for alfresco dining at the rear, which is very pleasant. We ate in the upstairs room, accessed by a tortuous winding stone staircase. The room... More

I guess there was a reason the next door restaurant was full and this one was not. Nice garden but the food was really not very nice. It reminded me of airplane food...

We fell for the picturesque charm of the terrace tables. The frozen food bought at a bargain at a supermarket discount would about sum it up. Look at the other reviews and believe them. We decided to give it a chance and were served terrible air plane food.

Went for lunch and it didnt get off to a good start when the waiter who stunk of cigarettes, ridiculed us and was very embarrassing. The starter was just passable but certainly not restaurant standard. However when the main course arrived it was inedible. The fish was coated with a vile sauce and the veal looked like dog food. When... More

I have to confess that we only went to La Credence because the wonderful Cote Court next door was closed. Sebastian, the waiter, was superb: friendly, helpful and funny. However, the menu was very limited with just four each of starter, main and dessert. Additionally, although the house white was good, the pichet of 50cl was almost as expensive as... More

The only mediocre dinner we had in France. Bland blanquette de veau. Weird egg florentine. Chalky chocolate mousse. The waiter tried to be friendly but I got the feeling he'd rather not be there.

Have eaten here a few times - there is a cute courtyard, but the unfriendly owner has assured me it will be the last time. Had some friends visiting from Canada and honestly we could not have been treated worse. Said it would be a long wait in the courtyard, food came before the wine, had to ask 4 times... More

The quality and quantity of food was poor. I ordered the croque foie gras with onion chutney, which was basically a toasted brioche sandwich. Far too sweet. The fish came with a medley of vegetables and white sauce, all quite bland but accompanied by curried rice! The combination was unpleasant. So I then ordered desert in hoping to make up... More

Ambience was very nice, service was good, food was very disappointing. Bottom line is sorry to say, don't waste your money.

For the region quite frankly disappointing. The wine was the saving grace but over priced. Felt rushed in & out with little care. Menu was limited. Food was edible but uninspired, made with clearly cheap ingredients. Where was all the fantastic local produce?? Owners need to refund some pride in their food I think.
