Stayed at Chateau as part of package trip so did not have benefit of ordering off full menu. Appetizers and salad were very good - main course of cod just so so as was not served hot. Soufflé Deseret was very tasty. Nice dining room and sea tong area outside for pre dinner drinks. Wait staff was energetic and amusing.

We had a lovely dinner out on their castle terrace. All five of us (our adult children and us) had five-course meals. Every course was exquisite -- the best food we've ever had anywhere! The servings are just the right size -- not too much, but enough to allow you to savor their amazing cuisine. The service was truly exceptional.... More

On a beautiful evening, we experienced our best dinner ever. The outdoor tables at the Chateau were set to overlook the Loire River and the grounds of the Chateau. The service was incredible. Our glasses weren't empty (water or wine) more than 30 seconds before someone arrived to refill them. The food was fabulous with several extras from the chef.... More

When the Euro tanked, we made a reservation and boy am I glad we did. The dining room is lovely, and not too stuffy. We were offered lovely, yummy small snacks with our apperitif and an amuse bouche which almost made me sad I ordered an appetizer, I was afraid I would be too stuffed for my meal. But each... More

We had dinner twice at the Chateau de Pray and on both cases we found the food exceptional, if pricey. The sommelier was very helpful with local wines. The service was friendly, and perfect. Prices for first courses were particularly high (20$ and more), and I am glad there was no pressure to choose one. There is no dressing code,... More

A very old-fashioned restaurant with a great cuisine and a maitre de vins who really understands wine pairing. We loved the food - for instance asparagus with morels - as this is more of a classic one star michelin restaurant (where you get enough sauce on your plate and where the chef is not trying to convince by painting a... As you approach the chateau be prepared for an experience that tantalized all of the senses. The location, the food, the service was all excellent. If you are not sure what to order ask your fabulously trained server. It is all about you at Chateau de Pray. I recommend reserving a table to the left of the patio if you... More

We had the menu- 3 course. there is also a chef's choice tasting menu with 10 courses that looked superb but it requires and early reservation because it takes so long. They pair it with wine as well we would have loved to try it but didn't think we could finish it and another caveat is that your whole table... More

We wanted a light meal for Dinner and the manager at the chateau suggested the restaurant at the hotel for a first course and dessert. We each had asparagus (one green and one white) as this was asparagus season, and both we tender and amazing. Prior to our entree, they brought out a chef's appetizer--a mackerel foam type dish over... More
