Nothing fancy here--just a small and simple restaurant, tucked in an alley of Amboise. Having seen the reviews, we asked our hosts at our B&B to make a reservation--they seemed a bit surprised we knew of the place. It is tiny, with perhaps 8 tables squeezed under the beams. The two women who run the restaurant work hard (I had... More

My family and I visited the Chateau de Chenonceaux, and spent 2 nights in the sleepy commune of Chenonceaux. It was soon apparent to us that there was nothing to do in the commune (not even a town), and we had already had dinner at our Chenonceaux hotel on our first night, we learned that the closest proper town was... Nine years ago on my first trip to Paris I ate the most incredible Pommes Dauphinoises I had ever tasted in my life. Ever since, until I stepped into this little gem, I had been on a quest to repeat that experience. When I tasted the potatoes here - they literally brought tears to my eyes. That's how incredible they... More

Restaurant is owned and operated by two very talented women. Menu is limited but expertly prepared. Best confit ever and best fois gras I eat on this trip. Best to secure reservations prior to visit. Have your hotel call for you.

This restaurant offers a limited but interesting menu of great Loire valley cuisine. Completely unpretentious, and offering good value, its advisable to book in busy periods.

They brought us a little mushroom soup that was the best I've ever had... Dinner was very good too!! Don't go if you didn't make reservations as it is very small and don't expect fancy just wonderful!

Only seating about 20 people and located down a side street in Amboise, this little eatery is a great find. The menu is classic French - delicious, traditional but with only 1 or 2 options, and not advised for vegetarians. We started with complimentary cream of mushroom soup and tomatoes in basil oil. We shared a starter of foie gras... More

After reading previous reviews, we thought we would try this restaurant & we were not disappointed. Tucked well away from all the main cafes & bistros, this restaurant is very small so booking is essential. The menu was limited however the food & service was faultless. The two female staff members were very welcoming & attentive & the food was... More

Away from the main drag - just right! If you get away from pizza and crepe , near the Chateau, just a short walk brings you to a small corner restaurant, with simple decor but excellent French cooking. Menu is limited, but sometimes that is the sign that the food is freshly cooked.

If you like home-cooking type of food, family type restaurant you are the right spot. A few choices on the menu but all excellent; small place then not noisy, everything made in the kitchen. Service great, relaxed and efficient. I will come again, again and again
