Too many cakes to choose from !!

The worst thing about this place is that you can't decide on what cake to order!!! So many delicious choices... everything we ordered was amazing and such a treat to be sitting in Amoise in a French patisserie. Do yourself a favour and go.

This is a wonderful Patisserie, you can have other types of food which my friends loved but I opted for fig tart and was delighted. This would be a great place for lunch or tea. Even if you are not hungry do go by and see the artistry of pastry making in the window.

Ran by a family that has been there for several generations, this is the most pleasant place to have a leisurely breakfast, like being on someone's home -and the food is delicious. Loved all the stories.

Located right outside the chateaux this patisserie is hard to miss and a definite place to stop. They have a huge selection to choose from. We decided on sharing what looked like 3-layer Napoleon and it was excellent. The coffee was served quickly and hot. The service was quick and friendly.

We had been advised by our French chateau guide that Bigot's was the real deal, not a tourist trap. Truly exceptional and expensive chocolates and caramels, but what a wonderful treat when back home in USA. Try Ancient Caramels! Also, the pastries and desserts were popular, but we did not try them. We did however enjoy a delicious quiche lunch... More

We have visited Amboise four or five times over the years and always make this place a "must" stop for a mid-morning or mid afternoon treat. We have found the coffee and hot chocolate to be to our liking as well as the pastries. It is a good place to read your newspaper or just relax. The staff has always... More

The service was great. The coffee (served in a French press) was wonderful. (We had a second press). Incidentally, they actually oven heat the quiche rather than microwave showing how much they really care about their food. They are part of a chocolatier next door. I won't even tell you about this!!! A great little bistro for lunch or breakfast... More

Excellent! The patisserie is delicious but if I have to pick a favorite it would definetely be the ice cream! The vanilla flavour was the best one EVER! Besides that, it could be located any better! The service was really nice too!

We did not find a comparable patisserie during our month in France. Our "gite" provided breads from Bigot every morning, but then we would walk over, buy a baguette and tartelette to go with lunch and wait anxiously until we could devour both. The baguettes and croissants are not to be missed, and their sandwiches are spectacular. Do not miss... More

We had bought a ballotin containing one each of Bigot chocolates in the shop. We decided we needed coffee with which to sample them. We went next door into the restaurant/tea room and were served coffees in french presses. So delicious with a couple of chocolates from our box. Others must do the same as we received no odd looks,... More
