Very nice setting, to look at, but very high vaulted ceiling means the acoustics as a result are strange ..... Which doesn't matter unless you have a hearing difficulty....as I do, so others like me take note. Staff friendly and polite, food good but I wouldn't say brilliant. I would even agree with a previous reviewer and say pretentious. They... More

We were a Group of 10 People. A Beautiful Place. Very romantic. The food more than excellent. The Personal extremely friendly. You Need to Book a Table 2 or 3 Weeks before your Trip. Euro 75.00 pp and You wont regret it. This Price include 2 very good wine. Really a Gourmet Restaurant.

This is a nice restaurant, its decor is a little odd, but the setting in a former wine cave is nice and the staff is superb. Our waiter, who was Portuguese, spoke French, English, and Portuguese and was kind enough to help us decipher some of the items on the menu. The costs of the dishes is a little high,... More

the initial view is most impressive, however there was a serious decline after that. paying a Base rates and then choosing from what appears to be a very reasonably priced menu and a possible bargain is misleading in the extreme. The table setting had metal constructs that could have doubled as star knives! The amuse bouche came in a lid... More

I did a happy dance throughout my entire meal at La Dame d'Aquitaine. I had the risotto as an entree followed by the beef bourguignon and chocolates for dessert. It was all so amazing. The service was perfect and everyone was incredibly kind to us even though we didn't speak French. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely place for a date night, or a family celebration. Food was amazing, I had the 'risotto cremeux a la truffe d'ete' it was beyond delicious. Then I have some steak with foie gras and vegetables - amazing softness. For dessert the 'Baba au rhum' which ended up being so big, it is a dessert to share, totally yummy too. I... More

Masquerading as a reputable establishment, La Dame d’Aquitaine, is situated inside an old crypt in the otherwise pleasant city of Dijon, France. The multitude of positive preexisting reviews for this restaurant lead me to suspect they were written before a recent change of ownership, or the less palatable idea that the reviewers had suffered from some ostensibly incurable mental illness.... First off, I will talk about the menu pricing, as it is unusual. The dishes themselves are extremely underpriced, and if you read the small print at the top of the menus, and can understand what they are saying, you'll see why. There is a 29€ pp "welcome fee" (forfeit d'accueil). I would prefer it if they just rated the... More

How often do you get to eat in a 13th Century Crypt. Never if you are from Australia like us! Worth eating here just for the atmosphere and beautiful architecture. However we came here to eat and eat we did with great relish and satisfaction. Being in Dijon we started with a sample of mustards and bread. We liked the... More

We had a great lunch in a fabulous setting. The restaurant is in the cellar of an old monastery and the ambiance is terrific. The food and the service was incredible. We really enjoyed everything to the point that we were ready to book the place for dinner when some more friends would show up. Our enthusiasm was doused when... More
