Asked for a vegan full meal last night and was super pleased! Dinner included 2 sets of amuse bouche (eggplant aigre-douce, lemon mushrooms and a melon cold soup then a bigger plate of gazpacho). Appetizer was an amazing carpaccio of super seasoned vegetables with some fruits, flowers and herbs, entree was a plate of seasonal mushrooms with broad beans. Green... More

Took some time to think of how to review this restaurant. It is M Star and not cheap (€300 for four people with one glass of house red and many bottles of water) but the location and service is wonderful. Pluses The table is yours for the evening and the service and attention to detail is wonderful. The location of... More

Four of us had lunch here on a beautiful, sunny, warm day. What attracted us to this restaurant was how it stood out from the other restaurants. You could tell it wanted to be the best restaurant on the Place de la Liberation. And it was. They had an a la carte menu and also some fixed price menu choices.... More

We were delighted that this restaurant had a table for us at peak time in the summer without a reservation. The food is classical french and is of the highest standard. Various menus are available and a full a-la-carte. We dined a-la-carte and enjoyed interesting amuse bouches and little extras. We took the waiter's advice for wines to accompany the... More

We were 6 and each had the same six course menu. The food, the wines and the service were exceptional and the bill, for a restaurant of this quality very reasonable. The ambiance is appropriate and the situation in the square perfect. I can't wait to return.

My wife and I decided to splash out and go a la carte rather than the taster menu. Whilst the service, ambience, location were all superb we were somewhat let down by the food. My wife's favourite course was the cheese which is a bit disappointing when you are paying around £140 each. She had turbot as a main dish... More

A sunny but cold spring day, a view of the Palais des Ducs and the clear sky reflecting off the white tablecloths of a Smart restaurant. There is a hushed atmosphere in this restaurant, as if it were a shrine to gastronomy. They get many things right here, but also lose their way. In an ideal world you should read... More

Very nice restaurant (set-up and discrete decoration), conveniently located. Service was technically absolutely correct, but missing the genuine human touch. Food - Besides the fact that the cheapest set menu was far from cheap (59 Euro per person) while entirely built around low-cost ingredients, the taste is certainly not creating the desire to come back. However, from the presentation point... More

The title of my review is to be fair as we had no choice but their festive menu, but based on our meal on January 1st I would never go back to this restaurant again. There is no excuse whatsoever for a Michelin Starred chef to send out food like we had. Tasteless foie gras, dried out fish and a... More

Dear Sir, we are sorry to see that you have not had a good time in our restaurant. To mark the end of year celebrations we offer a unique menu and we always point out at the time of booking either by phone or by e-mail that is why you did not have any other choice.
