We went to piqu'boeuf on a Saturday night. Busy but not to bad. Very helpful staff gave us a tablet with English menu they even explained the main courses. I opted for 6 snails as a starter then boeuf borgeon, spelt wrong, as a main. Wife went for the cod. The starter was very good, my wife who was not... More

We were in Beaune for a stopover en route to the South of France and hadn't booked in advance. After wandering the city for a while, looking for something more than the standard menu that you find on the squares we found Piqu'Boeuf, liked the look of their set menus and they could fit us in. Starters were really well... More

Our group of 8 had a wonderful steak dinner here. It was recommended to us and we were glad to be able to get a table to accommodate a group of our size. Great food!

As another review pointed out - grilled meat is what on offer mostly. The restaurant was recommended to us by the young man at the Tourism Office when we inquired about Burgundy beef. Well, it was over-salty for our taste and more importantly, either under cooked or prepared with an inferior quality cut. For a stew, the meat was far... More

I love simple, as long as it has some flavour. We have been to this place before and I am disappointed that it is so formulaic. There does not seem to be a lot of cooking done. Most things seem to be done on grill and everything else prepared - ok, but not much more

You need to be a fan of meat to visit this restaurant and steaks are the order of the day - all grilled before you on an open grill. The T Bone was delicious with nice fries and the ice creams were lovely. It was busy and could get overly hot in summer, but the food is really nice and... More

Typical Burgundian food is prepared by the chef in the open kitchen on the ground floor . Good value and pleasant service .

In Beaune for one night on our way back to the UK, we wandered the streets checking out the local restaurants. This one was close to the Hotel de la Paix, where we were staying, and everything was just perfect for our last night in France. A good selection of menus, and wines. It was a public holiday (Pentecost), and... More
