Unusually for France, a good restaurant was open. We arrived at 1915 and were the 3rd table occupied. We were served straight away. The set menu I chose was E78, my wife had turbot at E43, so not TOO expensive for a 1star place. The wine was not cheap. The food was delicious. The service fine BUT the main guy... More

This small restaurant is outside the walled town but well worth visiting. We were the second table to arrive, but within 5 minutes it filled with 3 groups of jovial but very loud Americans. We could hardly hear each other. Perhaps the owners should invest in some sound-absorbing wall carpets. We went for the full “menu”. The Amuse Bouches were... More

We chose this restaurant from the Michelin guide. It has a Michelin star but is relaxed fine dining with a lovely buzzy atmosphere We had an amuse Boucher of tomato gazpacho to start which was intensely flavoured and delicious. My pigeon was tender and rich but the jus could have done with a longer reduction Our main reason for the... More

We had the midrange tasting menu. It was perfect after a day tasting wine. Each dish was amazing and interesting. We enjoyed it.

Our hotel booked us a table here as their restaurant was not open the evening we were staying with them. We were certainly not disappointed. From outside it looked nothing special, but don't be deceived the food was sublime. The muse en bouche was the best I have ever had - lobster bisque with a small spoonful of fois gras.... More

Although the food served here was of good quality, it missed the finesse of what I expect to find in a restaurant with a Michelin star. The starter of lobster and a smoky pea broth was just too cold to appreciate. The beef fillet was cooked as I like it, blue, and the sauce could have been good but there... More

We went to Le Benaton on Monday evening. Lovely, attentive staff. Excellent, exciting food. Sommelier recommended Mersault and Chambolle-Musigny, we ordered by the glass. Both were wonderful.

For many years this has ranked as our favourite restaurant in France but sadly it isn't anymore. When we arrived everything seemed the same, after a few minutes we realised Madam wasn't front of house as usual. One of the waiters was taking food out somewhere else, they were obviously doing outside catering! Not what we expected from a restaurant... More

The worst service, they charged eur 500 for two bottles of wine we drank, which we have bought outside of restaurant.
