We arrived without a reservation, friendly staff soon found us a table for 5 even though the place was pretty full. Drink orders were taken quickly and arrived soon after. Food was good and arrived promptly. Mussels were nice. Friendly, helpful staff. Caters for tourists and food is targeted accordingly.

We visited this restaurant with our three year old son during our holiday. The decor is nice, colourful and welcoming and on first impressions, we had good vibes. Unfortunately, it went quite downhill from then on. I ordered the steak (entrecôte) which I requested to be cooked medium. When the food arrived, the meat was very sinewey and extremely red... More

We had a lovely meal at the Unicorn. I enjoyed a delicious starter of stuffed escargots followed by moules au curry. The restaurant staff are very friendly and the building itself is quaint and fascinating. My only complaint was that the place got exceptionally busy and the staff did briefly forget our dessert order, but this was soon put right.... More

Great steaks plus a fab meat dish which comes with a hot stone and you cook it yourself at the table. We hadn't booked but managed to bag a table for 4 outside. Weather was changeable and they provide blankets to put around your shoulders - a nice touch. Good range of drinks and food plus very friendly staff. Our... More

We dined in this restaurant on a Saturday evening as they had a table available. It was popular, lots of french customers, and it had a very good atmosphere. But the food was disappointing. We chose the Medieval Meat Dish (called a "Potence") which came on a strange skewer and is flambe'd at your table. A great spectacle, but marred... More

We ate here on our first night in Dinan. Super restaurant, friendly staff and delicious mussels. What more could you want!

My wife asked some British travelers she met for a restaurant recommendation. They recommended La Lycorne and we were glad they did. The first night, my sons and I had mussels prepared to our liking (they offer about 20 suggestions) and my wife had duck cooked on a hot stone at our table. It was so good, we returned the... More

Nothing wrong with the food and it is very popular which gives it a buzz but three of us had steak which although huge was incredibly chewy and fatty and one had scallops. Desserts were average. Little technique involved when compared to some of the other restaurants nearby yet their prices don't reflect this.

My father in law wasn't keen but both the wife and I thought this was wonderful. I had the beef on the hanger which was marvellous. Go here and prove my father in law wrong.

It is easy to find good restaurants in France. Of the many we have eaten at, I'm going to rate la Lycorne the best. We loved it. We had the full mussel treatment - excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful people.
