My father was here some years ago, so I wanted to come here from long time. Actually in our travel in Brittany, we maybe passed by Brest, just to eat here, there is also Le crabe-marteau in Lorient, but it was always closed, for holiday, I think three days straight. So in the end we decide to pass again from... More

Obviously the owners have succeeded to created a very funny and enjoyable mood. Service is great, you feel welcome, which is so rare in France. Then great thirst impression. The food, I should say the sea food, is delicious and fresh. Like in the crab shacks in the US, you have to wear a bit. A hammer is provided to crack... More

Dined here during International Maritime Festival July 17. Simple, enjoyable crab shack. Crack your own crab and langoustines. Nice staff who do a fine job managing massive crowds. Festive, fun, casual atmosphere right on the waterfront.

There is nothing more fun than putting on a bib and going at a whole crab with a mallet. I love every bit of this place including the newspaper on the tables and the big ole bucket of potatoes as a side. My only nitpick is that the different mayonnaises taste too similar but that really is a nitpick.

We are a group of international students in Brest, and we tried it in autumn, the season of crabs. The ambiance was super good and the servers were très gentils so sympathetic. They answered all my questions, no matter of the meals or of the win. We are at a grand table sharing with a group of family from south... More

To experience Brittany at its best you must visit the CM. Fresh seafood all year long. Warm service. Love the fish soup and the crab croustillant. Try the Paris address if like me you get homesick while in the capital.
