About
Restaurant Vintgar is one of the oldest restaurants in Bled Area and has everything what good restaurant needs. Beginnings of the restaurant are in the early 19th century, and since then it has been a pure pearl with the surroundings of Bled and Vintgar. In the silence and peace of the beautiful valley, you can afford the almost obligatory sightseeing of the 1600 m long Vintgar gorge, which will for sure convince you to come back again. You will also be amazed at the original interior of the restaurant. On the terrace we can accommodate 80 people, dining room up to 40 and a special room for 20 people. In our large garden, you will never be hot in summer. For the youngest we also have children toys and little African goats in the garden.

Before entering the vintgar gorge on the glade, a large inn with lots of outdoor seating, where you can enjoy the view. For children, they have goats, which children can touch and feed. Sit in the inn, order fresh trout and enjoy the flavors. I give a grade 4 because of the lemonade that was powdered.

Great place near the water and near the entrance of the Vintgar Gorge. Lots of trout-dishes on the menu. Waiter Ziga was very friendly and helpful and recommended us 2 great wines to accompany our lunch. We think he deserves a big raise in his salary 😉! Regards, R&D from the Netherlands

What could be better than walkinh beautiful Vintgar Gorge and then enjoy big fresh brown trout pulled that morning from the stream. Done with salt and garlic and lemon. Ribs were good as well

After finally getting a table on a busy day, the rude waiters left us at the table with two menus, didn't change the dirty tablecloth from the previous customers and finally proceeded to ignore us for the next 40 minutes. We tried to get their attention several times but they kept telling us to wait until we finally left for another restaurant.
If you visit the gorge, please take some sandwiches with you or eat elsewhere beforehand 🙏

We wanted to have a quick snack before hiking up to the vintgar canyon, so we thought it might be a good spot here. So when we sat down the waiter came and asked really gruff and a little annoyed if we needed a menu, which we obviously did. He could’ve maybe mentioned that the kitchen isn’t open yet so we would’ve saved the time looking at the menu and just ordered a drink. After all the Cake which is made by a local producer and that they had in their fridge was quite nice and coffee was there in about two minutes.

Overall: retro local atmosphere, will not visit again, possible to pay with card. Inadequally expensive. Big infokiosk with Cream Schmitt doesn't mean they have one 😅 They lied yo us the radler is non alcoholic 😠 toilets are in bad shape
Food: mushroom soup was tasty but expensive (cca 7,5€). Beef stock was mediocre (cca 5€).
Service: you have to be patient with it. The waiter seems to have a bad day. The Accordion guy plays nicely.

We were intentionally overcharged - when asked for the bill the waiter asked if we want to split or not. Upon hearing we would not split he just said how much the total was and without presenting us with the regular billhe wanted us to pay. Only when I demanded to get the bill, he 'suddenly reqlized' he overcharged us by 7 Euro, apologized as if nothing happened and returned the money. Perhaps 7 € is not much, but the experience was ruined. Pity as the food was rather decent.

Our waiter was really friendly. It was a nice place for a drink before the gorge. They give you coins for the toilet. My son loved the goats on the property. The truffle pasta was a little watery but still good. You get a discount there with your paid parking and a a nice view of the running water

I had the most horrendous experience at this so-called "restaurant." The owner shamelessly uses the establishment to sell parking tickets. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy unjustly issued parking tickets. It's a disgrace!

We stopped at the little ice-cream kiosk belonging to the restaurant for a drink and ice-cream after our walk through the gorge. The cheesecake ice-cream was amazing! Friendly and helpful service from the lady at the kiosk and it made a perfect end to our trip. Highly recommended.

This spot is beautiful 19th century restaurant. Trout is fresh from the Vintgar gorge. also, Great mushroom soup and deserts.

We had lunch there after our walk around Vintgar Gorge, and it was a nice experience
The tap beer is 4 euros, and the main dishes go from 15-22 euros per person
I had a trout fillet in wine sauce with a dough filled with cottage cheese. The trout was very soft and moist, the side dish was a bit unsalty for my taste but it went well with the trout. My husband had cevapcici with fries and he was happy with his choice. The waiters were very nice and checked up on us regularly.

We had a very nice trout made in a Bohinj way with a delicious salad with smoked trout. The view is perfect, next to the river and the Vintgar gorge. They also offer homemade meals and much of traditional slovenian food, which is great for tourists to try. The people and waiters are really nice and kind. Hope to come again soon! 100 % recommended! Delicious and perfect destination for lunch!

Waitors were flustrared and they wasn’t so kindly☹️. We can’t eat our lunch because a swarm of hornet attacked us. So we pay and run. But it was not simple because we can pay only in cash.
