Watch out for their unadvertised mass start at 7.30! We sat there from about 7.20pm waiting and waiting and waiting as all the staff slowly came back from their evening meal in the back room then - BANG! The locals flood in, the waiters spring into action and by 7.45pm, the place is buzzing and almost FULL!! Two great French... More

It was early September, but this seemed to be the only place still open to eat in the evening. It was recommended by our hotel, so we gave it a go. IT was a good choice. Full of locals of all ages from families to friends and couples eating out. It's informal so jeans are fine. The staff are efficient.... More

Four of us dined outside at this popular restaurant and houroughly enjoyed our main courses, 2 fish courses, 1 leg of duck and the best of all probably their famous demichateaubriand. The service was excellent and the general bustle of the place made for an interesting evening out in addition to the food.

Overly cooked duck confit is hard to excuse IMHO. Mine looked like it was deep fried. My table companions didn't finish their plates either. Good, friendly atmosphere though. Moderately priced

A very busy spot but fast professional and friendly service. Well varied menu and the four of us chose wildly different foods. I had a horse meat burger topped with a fried egg and fries as a side. Excellent. Great wine list. All happy and full.

No previous knowledge of where to eat this establishment was opposite our bed for the night . We paused for a beer in an adjacent bar and saw this restaurant quickly filling its exterior table s and thought it must be good. How right we were! Despite the popularity wonderful service from Guillame our waiter who sorted our individual needs... More

Le Berry is situated on the edge of the Place Clemenceau, which is the centre of Pau. It is near the shops. Le berry is popular for both locals and visitors. Service is quick and efficient. It is a good place to sit quietly or watch the world go by, in the best of French cafe traditions.

Had a wonderful meal with friends at this very popular restaurant. The menu is rather extensive but each of our dishes was outstanding: canneloni, croque monsieur, duck breast. Highly recommend the onion soup! The service staff was very professional and like most French restaurants we were never rushed. Highly recommend!!

Recommended to us by our hosts. Arrived early as told it would get busy - and it did. Good simple food. Children well looked after. Dealt with my appalling French.
