If you're ready to have a relaxing, lounging lunch with a group, this is the place. Ask to eat on the terrace for a beautiful view of the Vezere valley. Amazing lunch, extremely hearty and filling. Highly recommend the cheese.

We were visiting family in the region and stopped in for lunch. This was one of the most amazing lunches I have EVER had! The setting is beautiful, the family and staff that runs the restaurant were so nice and personable, and they were extremely attentive to our table and were always checking to make sure we were doing good.... We selected the Restaurant de Laugerie Basse simply because of its convenient at the entry of the Grotte Du Grand Roc. We had 90 minutes to "kill" before we could tour the Grotte, and we were hungry. That was the extent of our planning. The food was good, the service attentive and the price reasonable. You cannot go wrong with... More

Family run place - not gastronomic but as long as you like duck or omelettes then you are ok. Very professional service. Very friendly people. The owner loves children.

Visited here for lunch after the tour of the cave so its location is perfect for that. Our waitress was very charming and helpful and the service was good. The food itself was regional fare, we had the menu de jour. The food was quite plain and well cooked and the portion size was adequate given there were 3 courses.... More

Its position doesn't compensate for the indifferent food. Several locals were eating, clearly regulars, and were served a menu, including soup, which does not appear to be available to tourists. In a region famed for its generous food, portions were mean and under-seasoned. The assiette fraicheur is a joke of small spoonfuls, almost undressed, grated carrot, unripe tomato and cucumber.... I categorise this restaurant as 'very good' because the location is exceptional, value for money is v good and the quality is good. When we drove thru the nearest town the other restaurants looked the type which would serve frozen dishes. Locals seem to come here for food at lunch. Best to book.

We went to this restaurant as part of a group of Seniors and we found it excellent; the service was good, the food well prepared and presented,we were treated with respect. The restaurant itself beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean ,tables nicely set out. The staff were welcoming, professional and friendly. The lady owner even taking her car to pick up some... Very small place, outside of Le Eyzies. You walk across the road and up an incline. This is located at the cave of the same name. Nice variety on the menu, including salads and sandwiches, but our group of eight agreed the food was only average. The waiter was pleasant and spoke good English upon prompting. We had a variety... We stopped here for lunch with our local professional guide. We were spending the day visiting the Early Man cave paintings. We were quite impressed with the meals. The entrecôte was generous, richly flavored and tender. The grilled duck was rich and flavorful. What we thought was going to be a passable lunch turned into a real treat.
