The service was friendly and thatś the only good thing I can say about this place. We intended to have 2 courses but left after one...it was truly vile. Chewy, flabby duck accompanied by tasteless green beans and greasy chips. The whole thing was barely warm but the plate was searingly hot. They should teach their cooking staff how to... More

10 minutes after we were seated were we're given THE Menu (one between six!). Just over an hour after we ordered, the sides (chips) arrived. 20 minutes later two of our pizzas arrived. After another 20 minutes three more arrived. By the time we had finished, the sixth dish, chicken brochettes, arrived. Two pizzas were overcooked, one undercooked and some... More

There are plenty of places where yo can have a good formule midi, cheap is not equivalent to bad. But this restaurant does not care at all what to serve. The entrees were ok, ham and melon are difficult to ruin. The fishpot with tagliatelle was uneadible, all the mussels had been recycled at least three times, the structure was... More

I've only eaten at Le Perroquet once but it was a pleasant experience. The prices are quite reasonable, and the food is great without being too fancy. The staff is very friendly too. Overall it's a very good place to go and have a nice, simple yet tasty meal.

Selected this place as they could seat our largish group including 2 babies. Also a varied many for those with limited English tastes amongst us. Was not expecting the food to be great. It's not going to win Michelin stars, but we were pleasantly surprised. We rarely leave food but the portion sizes were massive. Good value + overall enjoyable... More

This was a recommendation from another restaurateur as they were fully booked. The food was good and the staff friendly they did however rush to get you "processed" with 2 adults and 2 children in and out within 50 mins which is good if your in a rush but not if you just want to relax. Plain children's menu Steak... More

What a great location. In Old Bergerac with lovely canvas covered terrace, beautifully planted and lit with fairy lights. Great buzz and was worth the wait for a table. Set menus very reasonably priced and food arrived quickly. I had a delicious trout with almond "truit aux amandes" and my son enjoyed his salmon and it looked tasty too -... More

We went here as we wanted a change from the regional menus elsewhere and ordered pizzas which were large but the ingredients were not fresh.

We had a really nice lunch here, eating on their outside terrace. Food was informal but very nice, good value and well worth a visit. We loved being able to sit outside, surrounded by hanging baskets full of flowers etc etc. Would certainly go back next time we are in Bergerac ...
