Our first night in Biarritz and we just walked to the "Les Halles" area for dinner - lots of choices but most places were full outside by 8:30pm. Cafe Jean is at the end of what I would call restaurant way, its nice - the meals looked great on peoples plates so we decided to give it a try. Not... More

Went on the evening of 14th July Bastille Day. We tried to get the attention of a waitress to find out how long we would have to wait and after ignoring us for 5 minutes she rudely told us to just wait. Only for another waitress Charlotte who saw our plight and got us seated quickly I reckon we would... More

My wife and I ate here and we had a very good time. An a cappella men's choirs was singing French songs in honor of Bastille day. Was a great treat. We had two starters that were very good. Prawns and rice and tuna. My main was excellent. Tuna and veggies. My wife had duck and frites. She was not... More

I have had goat cheese salad before, but this one also had some local ham and a really delicate honey dressing. It was really original and very well presented. A little pricey, but then the area isn't cheap nor is Biarritz.

This restaurant is next to the food markets which close at around 2.30pm so this is a quiet area in the evening and ideal for an outside evening meal. The cafe has a lot of outside seating. We were a table of six English speakers with only a smattering of French amongst us. At first the waiter was a little... More

We ate outdoors on a nice afternoon late in January. Two of us had the plat, which was beef with frites. Very very good. Wife had the fish, which was also delicious. The service is effecient and capable.

Caught this place just before closing one night and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating even with our limited French. Definitely some of the best local, well prepared food we had while we were in Biarritz.

Excellent pintxos! Tempura bacalao; salade Saint Jacques; entrecôte -- superbe -- Truly. My husbands Doré and risotto done to perfection. Don't miss this cafe right next to Les Halle.

Lots of locals at this restaurant. The food was great, service was pleasant, lots of options. If you like tapas, they also had amazing variety of those. The fish platter was so so SO good, highly recommend that.
