For a start, don't be surprised by the location, it a reconverted residential house..! We went there slightly less than a year ago, for dinner. A set-price menu was available, three dishes (entree-plat-dessert) for 42€, and considering the restaurant had then a Michelin star, we thought it was great - and still do, in spite of the place having since... We had lunch on the pleasant outdoor terrace. The service was excellent. The set menu was creative, and the food very well-prepared and presented. Despite the unusual location, we would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We mulled over giving La Cape a 3 or 4 rating. We went on a Friday night and got the tram to Cenon (the restaurant is in an unusual spot, so don't go for the view!). They only offer a degustation menu on a Friday, no a la carte, which was fine at €52 pp. The service was efficient but... More

Some great food and wonderful cuisine. Enjoyed the sea food with very tastefully done garnishing. A nice wine list and great ambience as well.

We last reviewed this restaurant in 2011, and decided that it was time to say that the restaurant is still a shining star. In the interim there has been a chef change, which can be traumatic for some restaurants, but in this case La Cape never missed a beat. One has to consider himself or herself truly blessed when a... We went here for dinner and ordered the surprise menu. The degustation is well priced at 60 Euro and consists of 5 dishes. Each dish looked great using pastel colours with spots of faded greens, yellows and tans. The flavours were good and well known. Each dish was well seasoned and the proteins and legumes were all well cooked perfectly.... More

We arrived with barely a min to spare for our 1:30pm reservation. The restaurant was located in a house in the suburbs, and typical of the starred Michelin setup. My appetizer and entree consisted of a courgette salad with lamb chops, while my wife had the codfish. All of the dishes were well executed, so we couldn't ask for anything... More

We had a wonderful meal in this restaurant on a Friday evening. Everything was beautifully presented and each course had an unusal association of flavours and was absolutely delicious. The service was very good and the wine waiter took us on a wine voyage around Europe. The restaurant was full but the tables are comfortably apart so your neighbours are... More

We were surprised by the fact so many people could be seated in this restaurant upon taking our seats. The day we dined at the restaurant it was quite a warm day and after more people got seated in the restaurant you could feel the temperature rise in the dining room. Although I had asked if one of doors leading... More

Ate here for lunch, and most courses of the menu were excellent. The risotto was a bit salty, but generally great. The wine menu was a disappointment, I think it's been said before. No half bottles, and all quite pricey. The bottle we eventually settled on was quite unremarkable, wouldn't have expected such a poor wine to be on the... More
