Wonderful wine bar in the heart of wine

The concept is great--you can pay for a 3 cl pour, a 6 cl pour, or a 12 cl pour...a tasting, a generous tasting, or a regular glass. Prices are quite reasonable (they have a few high end bottles...don't know how many hits they get for Chateau d'Yquem at €90 for a glass, but it's there). Thus... read more

if you have some one evening in Bordeaux definitely check out this original wine bar. it is the first bar to have introduced the "self serve wine by the glass card" concept to Bordeaux, which is a very wine conscious traditional city. the concept worked a treat, and was quickly emulated by surrounding bars close by. this place has doubled... Ok so main points. Its close to Parliament Square where many restaurants are located, there is usually seating (at the bar or tables), Food is available, staff speak English (good for me), they were polite and explained the concept. The tasting machine is good enough to sample wines without getting to caught up in the culture. All you do is... More

We literally just came by this place as we were strolling by and we were so glad we stopped and looked in. What a fabulous concept! You can try a huge selection of wines and can choose from how much you want to try, ie. from a very small amount to a glass full. The staff are very helpful, extremely... More

Last night I had the best experience in Bordeaux ! Have the amazing experience of trying different wines in just one visit in was incredible. From a simple zip until a full glass of wine you can enjoy the ambiance, un délicieux assiette mixte with cheese and veggies and non less the help of one of the guys working there... More

We went in just before 20:00 on a Friday evening for aperitifs, having booked table for dinner elsewhere, to find the place half full with some empty tables "reserved", allegedly, from 19:00 only to be told by the waitress, rather rudely, that they were fully booked! Really? So, we definitely won't be returning to check it out!!

This place has a very relaxed feel with a novel way to taste a wide variety of Bordeaux (and other) wines from entry level (€1.50 for a taste) up to some premier grand crus (€15 for a half glass). The staff is very friendly and helpful regardless of your french language skills. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite bars in Bordeaux - the only one with a cool concept. This bar truly makes wine tasting more fun. It offers a great selection not only of Bordeaux wines but also wines from other French regions and from all around the world. The concept: choose your wine from the wine dispensing machines. You can either get... More

Friendly service but a bit long waiting time on a Saturday evening. Great experience with being able to try lots of different types of wines in different sizes of glass to an ok price. We took two planchas with first mix cheese and charcuterie and second vegetarian both very good. A bit too crowded though for my taste with lack... More

The concept with wind wine 'vending' machines with variable amounts for tasting, 1/2 or full glass is quite interesting but ultimately fairly pricey. Nice plates of starters (Charcuterie / Fromage) served which compliment the wines very well. Very tight seating, the bar stools are tightly packed and you need to take care getting off them, especially after a few drinks.... More
