This smallish restaurant definitely requires reservfations, as the set menus are a wonderful deal. The decor is classy, with lovely murals and woodwork. The service was quite good, without being cloying. The food was very delicious. There are reasonable choices on each of the 3 set menus, as well as the ala carte. The wine list presented many good options,... More

Three of us had an evening meal here. We took the set menu which seemed to be excellent value but the whole was let down by the service. The waitress hardly smiled and did not go out of her way at all to help with the choice of dishes or to make even the smallest of requested adjustments, despite the... More

This gorgeous resturant serves authentic French cuisine at a reasonable price. There are 3 set menus or alacarte ....we chose the cheaper set menu. Every dish was superb... The wines are also varied in style and price...all good. The atmosphere is delightful and the owner/ staff are so friendly and welcoming. It is a must.

We discovered this restaurant by pure coincidence and have been really impressed. Food was really good, tasty and nicely presented with some well designed fixed menus and a few 'A la carte' options. Wine was equally good and served at the right temperature. Service was excellent. Highly recommended!

Wonderful! Owner (despite her broken English) provided brilliant service and even helped us with directions to the train station for the next day. Really lovely, welcoming, quaint little place who obviously pride themselves on serving beautiful food and wine in a relaxed environment. One of the highlights of the trip, we enjoyed it so much! We booked ahead st 9.30pm... More

We were very happy to have come across this restaurant when out and about in Bordeaux. The restaurant had a very intimate and private feel once inside. The menu was all in French and our French is not the best, however this was not a problem as the waitress went through the menu in English for us. I had the... More

Chef Pierre Eric Faure (no acute) specialises in texture, exemplified by the charred exterior and soft centre of a slice of goose liver, the contrast of veal kidneys with a soft loaf of minced veal offal and the slight burn on the exterior of a warm goat's cheese. The first was matched by a slice of cold pate de fois... More

PMK and I decided to go to Bordeaux with friends, the Hs. Our first two nights' dining were okay, but nothing special. Spoiled mostly by smokers who insist on lighting up upwind of you. Now I know that outside is technically an "espace fumeur" but there was no concession, let alone any sort of apology for smoke wafting downwind. Oh... More

Visited with my family in the evening. Enjoyed the set dinner tremendously - food was delicately plated and delicious. We loved everything from the fois gras and escargot to the steak to the surprise cheese platter to the chocolate dessert. The only down side was that nobody spoke fluent English and we had to translate the menu on our own.... More

We went there by accident (just having randomly fallen on the restaurant), and the food was exquisite. I am not a fan of foie gras so I cannot say much about it but other diners (we were 4 in total) loved it. It comes in several variants, including cooked. The fish (sturgeon and monkfish) and deserts were excellent. The wine... More
