i saw reviews were mixed for this place, but we booked for NYE and had an amazing time. Fixed menu for 60 E each but fantastic. We had Beef Wellington and 9 oysters each as starters. And chocolate noir for dessert. Service was wonderful and lively place with a nice atmosphere. Will come back the next time in Bordeaux, really... More

If you wanna try the food of Bordeaux and region - this is definitely the right place to go. Canard confit, huge crabs, mussels, escargots, sea snails, clams, fish soup, but also a good steak - they have it all, the servings are big and the prices more than reasonable. Of course - a nice wine list to add spice... More

the lady at the reception of my hotel recommend me to go to this restaurant with a group of 10 people. I was disappointed, the restaurant is pricey and offers poor value for money. first, the server was very average and the server a bit messy. In terms of quality and quantity of food, small portions that did not have... More

You are far from the too much simple meal you find in most brasseries.the house is very old , along Quay de la douane, the dishes really refined.

We roamed into it without planning but the staff was really friendly and nice, bantering with the three kids we had in towed in our group of 6 adults. Food was fantastic, plus ambience next to river all add to an awesome dinner experience.

This restaurant came recommended from I think Frommer's and proved to be our best dining experience in Bordeaux. The ingredients were fresh and creatively combined, the oysters fabulous, the service helpful and skilled. I'm not sure why Fernand's isn't ranked higher--it deserves it. The fresh sturgeon is especially delicious.

We had dinner at Fernand the evening we arrived (late) in Bordeaux. The restaurant has a big covered terrace with a view on the river. Although we were afraid the restaurant would be a tourist trap, the food was quite nice and the waiters were friendly. The 'tartare de boeuf' we ordered was prepared in front of us.

We enjoyed a truly French lunch experience at Fernand next to the quai in Bordeaux. The prices were reasonable, but the menu only in French. We viewed an employee make steak hache table side. We had octopus pasta for a main dish, and sherbet with expresso for dessert. It would have been better if the wait staff spoke some English,... More

We had a lovely meal here, the house white wine is superb! Staff all speak English and ask them for recommendations for your food.
