This is a small, intimate restaurant with incredible food and nice, friendly atmosphere. We shared a terrine of smoked herring that was fabulous. I had the beef cheeks and my husband had kidneys. We shared a wonderful rich chocolate dessert. Excellent wine! We just love it!!

I ate here on my first night in Bordeaux. The hostess from another restaurant (that was booked out) recommended it to me, saying it's not a fancy place but the food would be great. She wasn't wrong. It's only a small place, room for about 20 diners in total, lit with only a few lamps. I had 3 courses plus... More

We had booked La Taupina but sadly it's on fire! We were recommended to come here and what a fantastic evening we had. Creative but traditional French cooking with good wine, lovely service and great value for money. Proper French hospitality. Very well done.

We were recommended this restaurant by the owner of the 3rd best restaurtant in Bordeaux. Owned by husband and wife with only 12 tables. The food was just wonderful. . Lovely salmon souffle starter. I had the lamb main and partner had the beef, both meats were so juicy and tender. Simple food but filling, no room for dessert!! Can't... More

Looking for somewhere for dinner and came upon this restaurant, very unassuming from the exterior, but the food was very good, traditional south west France cuisine, served beautifully, do not hesitate to eat here, uncomplicated yes, but great quality ingredients, served simply but cooked expertly.

Not an inviting restaurant to enter - very dark with mis matched table lamps barely lighting the interior. We went because we had read the reviews and tripadvisor about the food, which was indeed excellent. The food was served in the pan it was cooked in. My husband had chicken livers followed by beef stew - full of flavour and... More

My wife and I went here on the recommendation of our B and B host and we ended up up going back the second night of our Bordeaux stay. The food is all authentic French and the chef spends the day supervising the purchase of his ingredients. The lamb stew has an excellent sauce and is very tender. What brought... More

We were welcomed by the owner when we walked in before the restaurant opened. She told us to come back right when she opened since we didn't have a reservation. We got right in when we returned. There was probably 8 tables seating about 30 people. I had the pork, my sister had the rabbit and my mom had the... More

If you are in Bordeaux I highly recommend this beautiful place. We managed to navigate the menu with our limited french and a little help from the waitress! The food is spectacular. We had to go back a second evening to try some more dishes. Fantastic!!

We were taken to this great little restaurant by local friends. We all had different entrees which were quite nice but the pork dish to share was outstanding! With bread to soak up all the sauce, good wine and friendly company made for a great evening. Highly recommended, just make sure to book as place gets full quite quickly.
