The waiters are smiling and caring. The dishes are delicious. Reasonable prices. The place (vaulted cave in old stone) is charming. Good mmoment to spend. I recommend booking, due to a popular restaurant.

We were taken here by friends who live in Strasbourg for an authentic Flammekausche. The setting is wonderful, a high gothic ceiling and ambient lighting, with heavy furniture and tables set a discreet distance apart. There is a convivial feeling and the casually dressed waiters and waitresses interact well. The tarte flambé is very good, we ordered the traditional way... More

This restaurant had been recommended by one of the receptionists at my hotel - I'm not sure I would have found it otherwise. Not having a reservation, we got there as soon as the doors opened, and were lucky to get a table. It was very busy, but service was good and our waiter was very helpful! The food was... More

The food is fantastic, and quite a generous meal size as well. The staff were friendly and tried their best with English, but we were fine with learning to speak French :) I would definitely return if in Strasbourg again.

Great ambiance. It's in street below cave and family style restaurant. But the food ? You can get better from the street vendors.

We came here while visiting the Christmas market. We had to make a reservation in advance as during the market there were only 2 seatings for dinner. We were seated promptly at 6:45pm when we arrived for the reservation. The restaurant is underground which was cool. Kinda like eating in cave. The staff were all fine. Not overly friendly but... This place has really great, Alsacian, tasteful food for very good money. Main meals are for 12-25$ / 10-23€ but they could feed more than 1 person. The food is local, but easy to taste for all world-travellers. You can take your kids and wear casual attire. Ask for local wines recommendation - as a French I can reassure you... More

Coming from Basel, Switzerland couple days ago where high prices were the norm, this place almost seems too cheap for good food. Well indeed not only it is cheap by comparison, but so plentiful the three of us actually shared 2 lunches and almost didn't finish. Came here for lunch around 1pm on a weekday without reservation, and it was... More

We came twice in one day and had the flammkuchen of münster cheese with bacon and onions - it was that excellent! When we came back for dinner, I had the cordon bleu with vegetables and mushroom cream sauce. The best cordon bleu I've ever had in my life. The place is huge! Seems as if the whole restaurant was...
