After failing to get into some other restaurants I walked in off the street and was able to make a booking for two not knowing what to Not fully understanding the French language we ordered off the English translations and hoped for the best The meals we were presented with were not only visually impressive but tasted great as well... So happy to have researched the restaurant scene in Strasbourg prior to travelling. L'Eveil des Sens is an exceptional restaurant and delivers on every level. From the Decor to the finest detail on the plate, everything is accomplished so well. The people, the food, the suggestions, wine, everything is done to a high standard. This restaurant will not disappoint!

After seeing the many surrounding touristy menus, this charming place was a delight. The fixed -price lunchtime "gourmand" menu is approx. 20, 25, or 30e for 1, 2, or 3 courses. With only 28 covers, the setting is small and personal, and rapidly fills by 1pm. We were told that evening meals required several days notice for bookings- both good... More

Diner with the team for year end. Nice location, nice decoration, in the middle of the petite France. Warm welcome, everything perfectly organized, the food inventive and top, the wine list well thought to accompany almost anything, this is definitely a top address. Given the evening, the bill remained largely acceptable, which becomes rare nowadays! I strongly recommend

Second time at "L'Eveil des Sens" and good impression confirmed. Small restaurant so better to call for a reservation. Service appeared not to be aligned to the restaurant's price level: we'd to wait a little bit longer than usual for the courses, the final bill was wrong..... Little fault disappeared after tasting all dishes we'd chosen, and I'd like to... More

Opens about 1915 and took immediate reservation which allowed for some sight-seeing before dining. Three diners who all enjoyed both the meal itself and the service which was really attentive and good. Tables outside adorned with pumpkins and other vegetables which created a nice atmosphere. Great variety in the wine-list also but a little pricey. Highly recommended.

Came here on a weekday night, we got good service and the food was good. As opposed to some of the touristy places around, this place has definitely more authenticity and quality and we enjoyed our night, would recommend!

Happened upon this place the other night and we had a fantastic meal sat on the terrace. Amazing quality food and very friendly service. (The chap was very busy so slightly slow however he was seriously doing his best to get round every one as quick as he could) Would definitely recommend. Great wine list to go with the great... A popular restaurant in the pedestrian zone part of the old town, well worth finding. Service and food were very good and plenty of locals frequenting the night we went.
