Always good...but sometimes great.

I love La Corde a Linge in the summer. When the giant terrace is open, its really the place to be on a summer day. The salads here are really the best thing going. We've eaten here at least 5 times over the years and each time it was...good. Only the salads are great. Entrees are creative but... read more

My 6-year-old and I were on a "goose-hunt" for a restaurant we didn't realize had closed down. This left us tired, hungry, and with no plan for our supper. While I normally avoid eateries in touristy areas (for the price), we settled on this one. I'm SO glad we did!!! My daughter and I shared a plate of the best... More

A very good restaurant with delicious food, attentive service and nicely decorated. The Spätzle are amazing here! They also serve good wine from the region. We really liked this place and I'd say it was our favourite in Strasbourg after a week trying out different things. Just one little flaw / remark: the restaurant is decorated as an old seamstress... The meatball's mustard sauce was very concentrated and not gentle as any french sauce supposed to be. The hamburger was dry and chewy (I usually don't order hamburgers in french restaurants but, this time, I was told it's one of their specialties).

A nice place in the heart of Petite France. a typical and very touristy part of Strasbourg If you want an informal lunch or a quick snack ( say a soup or a hamburger sandwich) while visiting the old part of Strasbourg this is a good spot The square is very characteristic with German style houses near the river

The weather was gorgeous and we did not want to eat indoors. We also wanted a view of the water as well as of the crowds of tourists happily exploring Strasbourg. This place fit the bill! Our table was overlooking the canal, service was good and the menu was large enough to give us plenty of choices with large portions.... More

La Corde a Linge is a genius place: situated in the middle of the Petit France (=the best walk you can have in Strasbourg), it keeps a smart casual and contemporary (French/New York) style offering good food despite being at the core of the touristy area. Food and drinks are of good quality and service has been fun and quick.... More

This place has a fabulous location, there are tables outside where you can watch the world go by, even during the Christmas markets. We sat inside and there was a great atmosphere as the place was full of happy shoppers. We chose this place as it had local dishes and we were not disappointed the food was really full of... More

Great food, great wine, good atmosphere. Meals were a little slow to arrive, but ok. Duck fois gras was amazing! Downside is that they don't really cater for kids, portable high chairs rather than real ones and no kids menu. But overall a nice experience and convenient location.
