5+++ Awesome food! Mixed cuisine with authentic influences from all over Africa and great service from an amazing lady of African origin who creates a great mood. For new year’s eve, there was an extremely delicious and reasonably priced 3-course menu and after everyone was...finished, she started dancing and everyone joined in. We canceled our original plans and had an unforgettable night, danced together with all the other guests and got to know everyone else in the restaurant with their fascinating backstories. At midnight, we celebrated with the fireworks the guests brought for their respective evening plans. Everybody had a couple of rounds of shots and we shared the Champaign we bought for our original plans. At one point, the owner recited African poems. We left at about 3 am and weren’t the last guests. It truly was a night we will never forget and our best new year’s eve so far – ever.More

I was looking for a place to have dinner while I was on a transit to Strasbourg, therefore I googled and Little African came on top of the list. Once there, I understood why it was so overrated. In fact the staff is very friendly...and it is like a family ambiance (the African way). The owner (Mastou) is such an amazing person who always take time to chat with her guests and try at her best to explain what is in every plate. If you are looking for a truly African restaurant (mostly Senegalese) I will highly recommend you Little AfricaMore

The meal was really nice, particularly the fried plantain and the ginger and rum cocktail. The service was my favourite part, as Mastou was extremely friendly and talkative, which was a lovely end to an already great stay in Strasbourg. Patrick

We enjoyed a dish of the day which consisted of white rice fried banana, chicken, and a special sauce made with spinach. The other sauce made with onions. The ambiente is very simple. The air in the room strongly smelt of fried food (our clothes...smelt hours after havimg been there). Here the boss needs to do something about it. The food was good, but the air was really unpleasant. The toilet needs to be cleaned.More

We were at the restaurant on New Year's Eve and had a special dinner. The food was good and delicious. Mastu, the owner, was really nice and sweet and tried her best to please every guest. The restroom is quite special ;-) All in all...it was a nice way to celebrate the last day of the year.More

This restaurant takes you on a trip through Africa. And this is mainly because of the owner. She is an excellent host who really loves her work and her restaurant. Her passion and knowledge of the food makes the experience better. It also makes the...food taste better. The dishes are simple but very good. You'll leave the restaurant satisfied and in a better mood.More

It was a fantastic and surprising discovery in Strasbourg. The dishes were delicious and homemade. I definitely strongly recommend this restaurant. We had senegalese tea which was fantastic. The waitress was adorable and took her time to explain the menu. The music was beautiful. We...had an amazing time and cannot wait to come back!More

I would have given a "good" but there's only the choice between "average" and "very good". It's better than just average, if not for the rarity of African restaurants in Strasbourg. The place is lovely, small, cosy. The food is tasty, the service is pleasant....Only, all dishes displayed on the menu are not always available. It's perfectly OK when it's fresh food (like fish) and you arrive late: a small restaurant can't carry unlimited quantities "catch of the day". But it's more frustrating when it happens at 7:30pm. Fortunately, the entrées are all good, so that at least, you don't get frustrated when they run out of a particular dish, and don't mind to change your order.More

But not only was the mango for dessert simply amazing, the yassa chicken was also very authentic west african cuisine and super tasty. Extremely friendly and welcoming owner and staff, after our meal they turned up the music and taught us some traditional african dances!
