The meat was in a poor quality. The pasta and the risotto tasted like they were out of a box, we returned them to the chef (if there is one) and yet they expected us to pay for it.

Expensive, food was terrible and boring, but the service was good. Polite and nice. Doesn't change the fact that my bacon cheese burger only contained a tiny bit of meat and half a slice of bacon - and my fries was to share with others from my table that ordered the burger. A disappointment.

What a treat to sit in the open air in central Strasbourg, enjoying good company and pleasant, if slightly pricey, food. Place Gayot which Le Bistrot shares with a number of other restaurants is clearly a magnet for tourists but on a fine late May evening it was a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. I... It was not bad considering that the position of the restaurant is very tourist oriented . Decently dressed up food and friendly staff.

My business partners and I took an evening to see Strasbourg. as we walked near the cathedral we found a nice open area with several outdoor options for dinner. We selected Le Bistrot and were quickly seated by our waitor. We each had a few glasses of wine which were good. We started with escargot and amazing bread. Everyone in... More

Several restaurants share an open terrace and the best I can say about this restaurant is it's location. The food was average to good but quite expensive, possible due to the location. The waiter was good and tried hard with my very limited French.

I disagree with the first few reviews. All our meals were wonderful and the service spectacular. I thought pricing was overall a value as well. The filet of beef was 24€ and worth every bit. I think that was about at the top of the pricing. There was one item at 29€. The sole was very good, served whole. The... More

On a popular square, Le bistrot is one of the restaurant offering seating in a nice cobblestone as area. Prices are a bit too high : 9€ for a tarte flambée, even a good one, is rather pricey. Same for drinks.

What a shame a restaurant in such a prime location turned out to be such a bad experience. The service was really slow and inept. We waited absolutely ages for our starters and then our order was incomplete with only two starters arriving-we were a group of four and had each ordered a starter.Another very long wait for our main course... Situated in a really nice square, an interesting choice, with very nice service, good food and big portions!
