Most Colmar restaurants are expensive, this one has a really nice riverside location and we had the set price meal, almost too much food but great presentataion, friendly owner, efficient even when very busy

We went on the recommendation of the hotel and it was wonderful. Our waitress spoke a little english but was patient and very nice as we tried our best at French. The food was amazing and just the right amount of attention. A very good first meal in Colmar!!!

The restaurant is approached down a narrow path by the river. There is an outside terrace but we ate inside. There are several small dining areas with Windows looking over the river. Our waitress was very helpful, suggesting that my husband would not need a starter as his main course was large! She was right. He shared a tarte flambé... More

We went to this restaurant essentially because I wanted to taste a good backeoffa, a traditional Alsatian stew prepared in a baker's oven (hence the name) which is cooling down once the bread is done (tarte flambée, incidentally, is prepared BEFORE the bread, when the heat is most intense). Their version of it is excellent, with no corners cut. Their... More

We had our grandchildren with us and they enjoyed it as much as we did. Excellent food, accommodating staff (we were seated outside next to the canal, and it began to rain, so they quickly rearranged the umbrellas to fit the seating area). Food preparation was excellent. I wish we could have been there at night - the dinner menu... More

We found this restaurant because all the others closer to the center was fully booked. But we didn't regret it at all. Very nice service and VERY good food.

Staff friendly and helpful. Our dishes were FANTASTIC! Braised pork, scallops with risotto, veal kidneys. We had dinner there twice. Beautiful peaceful spot on the canal. JW

Lovely spot on the canal, nice to sit inside or outside, good atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful & patient with us while we were deciding. We shared the 46 euro, 4 course menu, plus an extra main course, and the staff were more than happy for us to do that. The 4 course meal was a good choice, fabulous... More
