We had dinner here with a party of four, because it had a lot of tables available, when every other place was busy--- this should have tipped us off that something was wrong with the place. Food was mediocre and service was rude, but the piece de reisistance came that night when three of us became violently ill from food... More

Tarte Flambees and hog roast!!! What a cracker of a restaurant, half bottles selections and great food. Absolutely friendly service.

The restaurant is situated near the historical center of Colmar, but on a quiet side.Fortunately, there's a big terrasse in this season, because it"s a tiny place. The full pork was roasting on the chumney at the entrance upon our arrival, which made our choice immediately!! You may even choose between fries, baked potatoes or salads to go with. But... More

The staff at Hotel Turenne recommended Maison Rouge. The restaurant is conveniently located. We had a variety of food and everyone was pleased. I insisted that we try the seared foie gras, which was delicate, yet incredibly flavorful. I ordered a martini, thinking Bond. Not what I expected but a simple misunderstanding on my part. A typical relaxing dinner in... More

We had an enjoyable meal of the regional specialty of tarte flambées. Fresh salads, local Alsatian wines and beer completely a casual meal. Located next to the covered market, La Maison Rouge is a cozy restaurant with traditional decor and a lively ambiance.

First night in Alsace and we wanted to try the famous local tarte flambé. This was the right spot. So good. But also big, which we did not realize, being newbies. So glad we shared it as we had also ordered dinners. When I walked in and saw and smelled the ham on the spit, I knew I would be... More

This restaurant was suggested to us by our hotel receptionist when we asked for the best traditional food in Colmar. We were excited as we made our way there, but we were more than impressed when we arrived to the place. You are greeted by a full pork roasting on a chimney right by the entrance. the place is decorated... More

I just came across this restaurant by sheer luck while on the way to Petite Venise. Had an amazing tarte flambee and the best creme brulee ever...served with a scoop of delicious icecream. Very friendly staff. Please note this place is very popular...tried to go back again twice but it was "complet" (full) so make reservations in advance.
