My wife and I sat under the grape give candy in the rear courtyard and enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal. From start to finish the meal was wonderful. The service excellent, the food delicious (although, my wife did not like the head of her fresh trout served in tact), the evening delightful. I noticed that on this early week night,... More

We were a group of three, one adult and two teens, we shared two starters, Asparagus in white sauce was excellent. We had a giant size steak, prepared medium as requested, which was wonderful. Trout in Riesling sauce was not only excellent, but was a very large fish. Service is outstanding, the decor of the restaurant is traditional. The cost... More

We came here because pretty much everything was shut on a Tuesday night and it was one of the few places we found open. The staff were professional (not open arms welcoming, but not rude either) and the menu was a pretty good reflection of Alsacian specialities with seasonal offerings (strawberry, asparagus) too. The food was what you'd expect. We... More

April is the Alsacian Asparagus time. So we choose Asparagus with two sauces for beginning. Delicious ! Then a Pikeperch fillet in Riesling cream with noodles. Famous ! And for the dessert a speciality : the frozen Kugelhof. Amazing ! For drinking, we selected an organic Riesling 2011: well, a very good choice. Efficient and helpful traditional service in this... We came here with our family for lunch. We love food and are not usually ones to complain; however, this restaurant has caused me to write my first review about a disappointing meal. For starters: we ordered, soup ( extremely over salted), a salad (the dressing only tasted of mustard), and a pork head terrine (under seasoned). Our main meals... More

I was looking for a place that served authentic Alsatian food and Restaurant Bartholdi hit the nail on the head. I ordered the sauerkraut with sausages and potatoes and spicy mustard. Fine service and a good location near the entrance to the old town.

A real classic Alsatian restaurant. Very nice building and you have real space inside. The staf is really experienced and not very young. We had a nice table. The food is mostly really Alsatian. The canard magret was very good. The restaurant is large and almost full. We can recommend the Bartholdi. It is near museum Unterlinden.

We went here for lunch while visiting Colmar. Staff are extremely friendly and very good with children. Food was very good and we sat out in the back garden. The restaurant was very busy with locals which is always a good sign. Garden on the back was very welcome due to the covering from the hot sun.
