Place is always busy which is a good sign! Great range of real ales and foreign beers. Draft erdinger etc. Food reasonable for location, 10.50 for a decent fish and chips. Only drawback staff always slow and seem to spend most of time chatting to their student mates between slipping them free drinks. Takes an absolute age to get served.

The service isn't anything to rave about, clientele is hit and miss, I'm gay and came here with my partner, did not feel welcome or comfortable , staff service was nothing to shout about, trying to be up market because of the deansgate location so to them over £1 is acceptable for a bag of crisps (air). However been there... More

An excellent choice of beers available in here which regularly change. The prices are listed on a blackboard and some beers can get expensive but there is a broad range available so customers have an honest choice. I always have a nice pint in here and recommend it when nearby.

Nice enough bar but if a beer costs £5.90 a pint it might be worth mentioning that before pouring. My friend and I paid it but I couldn't help feeling a bit fleeced.

Situated underneath the railway bridges, this pub on the outskirts of the city centre has become my favourite drinking hole. It's not your typical olde English pub of that's what you're after, but it's a solid place to enjoy some beers either inside or up on their outdoor balcony. Why I love it so much is due to the selection... More

I've been here many times over the years. They always have friendly attentive staff and a great selection of ales. The food is hearty, fairly priced and well presented. I would give it 5 stars but they always seem to be in a rush to close up at the end of the night. I used to go a lot after... More

Think I made a school girl error.....don't eat here on a match day. The pub was full....and I do mean full of men before the match. Don't get me wrong, no one was causing issues.....it was just not ideal for a quiet Sunday lunch.....but that's my fault, not there's. Music was far too loud. Service seemed slow ( but it... More

We didn't eat here, but we stopped for a couple of drinks on the way to getting a train home. Amazing section of beers, great place filled with character, and helpful staff. A lot going on, and a lot of cool events like tasting evenings advertised. I'll definitely be back!

I have lived in Manchester for eight and a half years and only visited Knott Bar for the first time last weekend - I can't believe it has taken so long! This is a cosy venue just off Deansgate serving a huge varied selection of world beers, bottled and on draft. We were there on a Sunday so had one... More
