Don't know where to begin... The only thing that was good, was the greeting from the receptionist who seemed genuinely warm and welcome. First of all, all the staff is abnormally playful, walking around dancing to the music all night, shouting, and i mean SHOUTING comments to each other about the customers. Music playing is another story, tracks like "... More

Took 3 of my friends from Newcastle on Saturday night - had booked weeks earlier as it's very popular. Got there at 7.30pm, short (10 mins) wait for our table which was totally fine as loved sitting at the high stools at the bar and taking in the atmos. Got shown to our hotel, very friendly waiter, comfy seats. Seen... More

I've been at Piccolino last Sunday. The whole experience was great, since we have arrived we felt home. My little kids where treated like princesses with many attentions from all the staff. The service really attentive and the manager always around helping and chatting with the customer, he recommend a nice red wine from Naples as well. The food was... More

I have eaten at several Piccolino restaurants including Manchester prior to its recent extension and major refurbishment. However, my lunchtime experience was a complete disappointment starting with the only soup on the menu - Porcini mushroom and potato soup that was frankly awful. My father used to say, "If the soup is good, the rest will be" and it's a... More

This newly-extended restaurant still serves good food, and the fact that it's still busy despite its new size is testament to how good it is. Still, though, it feels like it's a Poor Man's San Carlo and not sufficiently superior to Croma as the price suggests. But there's nothing actually WRONG with the place. The waiter who explained the menu... More

We visited here last evening. It is the first time since it was refurbished. It looks great. We had a delicious meal, there was a great choice of dishes on the menu. I had the asparagus it was lovely, this was followed by the chicken Milanese. Again this was lovely. Great meal in lovely surroundings.

I live in Manchetser city centre and whenever I visit my friend in Didsbury I always ask that we come here. It's a rare chance to sit outside with heated lamps so you don't feel any chill on the colder nights. Gorgeous food at a reasonable price and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Always a pleasure!

We visited here on the 17th of August for a late lunch and sat outside in the sun! The food was amazing and the pasta cooked perfectly. For drinks we ordered the "East 8 Hold up" and "a French love story", which were delicious and refreshing - we couldn't help but order the same again! The service was also good,... More
