I have been going for years (1987).
The food has always been good.
The only issue I have found is on weekday visits everything is fine but on some Saturday visits the chicken curry has been really really bland .

Ive been eating here on and off for 20 years. Consistent and excellent fresh food with great veg options. Puts alot of other Indian restaurants to shame. Always great to see all types of people and polar opposites of society eating happily side by side....More
Tucked away down the divey Soap Street not far from the Arndale this cheap and cheerful place serves a selection of different curries every day at rock bottom prices. Great spot for some filling food without breaking the bank
My son loves it here, chicken curry for him, rice n three for me, cauli curry for her with an onion bhaji and naan to share - change from £20.

Just on the edge of the northern Quarter this little place is difficult to find but definitely worth looking for. It has been going for donkeys years and there is a reason for its continued success.
