This place was just around the corner from our hotel and pretty busy for a Sunday night. The main courses were really delicious and huge portions. Great value for money!

Not often I say this but that was a really superb meal. Service, ambience, etc all good, but the FOOD?! Delicious. We had a variety of chicken and fish dishes, all first class. I look forward to a return.

Ning is a Malaysian restaurant and it is my favourite restaurant literally! I first came here for my 22nd birthday with a few friends before heading off for drinks in northern quarter. The food here is so good I cannot even explain. The price value is also really good especially when you do not want to spend more than £15... More

We returned to this restaurant only because Chef Norman Musa has returned! We were so lucky to have a chat with him during our meal. A very interesting, well travelled man. And a very talented chef . The food was amazing. The restaurant is lovely and the staff were very welcoming and polite. All in all, a great place to... More

Amazing Malaysian cuisine - our favourite restaurant in Manchester with the extremely talented chef Norman Musa. Highly recommend the nyonya lime curry and Nasi Goreng and the ice cream is the nicest I've tasted. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Service was very quick.

Absolutely stellar food! Living in the one of the world's most multi cultural cities (Toronto), two types of cuisine are limited in availability -- Malaysian and Indonesian. Malaysian is such a nice alternative to the very mainstream Thai Cuisine and Ning nails it on the head. Just completed my second dining experience at the restaurant and can't recommend it highly... Had dinner here a few weeks ago and was pretty impressed. Shared soft shell crab and calamari to start - both fine and then nasi lemak and nasi goreng for mains - both of which were excellent - loved my combination of chicken, deep fried anchonies, fried egg, peanuts, cucumber and rice. It's quite cosy inside but fine. Service was... More

Manchester might be awash with slick dining outfits but none quite like Ning. Unlike many others, Ning values subtlety and sophistication both in its style and its cuisine. This Northern Quarter venue offers a bustling ambience somewhere between trendy canteen and chic bistro. With polished wood tables, voguish floral patterned wallpaper and candlelit tables, the interior strikes a similar balance of fashionable buzz meets classy intimacy. Award-winning, the predominately authentic Malaysian menu also offers Thai and fusion dishes, all made with fresh ingredients, free from added MSG. Ning's accomplished chefs pride themselves on producing a concise menu of carefully selected and well cooked dishes, and service is attentive without being over-bearing. Malaysian hospitality and food.
