Popped in here for a couple of drinks on Easter Sunday afternoon. Great location on the river close to Spinningfields, especially good in sunny weather. This place has so much potential, but it is seriously in need of some refurbishment. The toilets are smelly and...More

This used to be a wonderful place, lunch plates used to be piled high with rustic bread, cheeses and pates. Would not risk eating here now. It is now filthy, damp and smelly with rotting wood and sticky carpets. What a huge disappointment. The stairs...More

Went in for Sunday lunch a little while ago, and what a great place!! The music, food, ambience, service and location are just perfect. A Manchester institution!

We called in for drinks and looking to eat, but the noise from the music system was deafening. We only managed to finish our drinks before deciding what's the point! No chance of conversation, so off we went to somewhere you could think.

This pub is located on the Salford side of the canal and is 1 level below the street. We did not see a lift, only stairs to access from the street. No food is served, but they had a good selection of beers, including some...More

If your looking for a great pint or some tasty grub but want to stay away from chain owned rubbish try here it's a great location and there's nothing better in the sun than a pint by the canal
