I ate here with a large group for business. I realize this must be difficult with the hotel guests also eating at the same time. We had been asked to make our selections ahead of time and as often happens, one person ended up not getting their choice, probably because someone else had taken their meal. But the way the... Went for afternoon tea here with friends and although the food was all lovely and had heard lots of lovely reports about the place i was a little disappointed with the afternoon tea. I thought the cakes where a little bland and was expecting something better from the Grange. Posted a pic in facebook and even got few comments about... More

We met at this Hotel for my Mother in Laws 85th birthday lunch. Our first look at the place was shocking for a so called "up market" hotel. Rotten timber on the window frames, and obviously in dire need of an up grade. Our party was booked into the conservatory..looking around, it was obvious that work was desperately needed...window blinds... More

After booking via groupon as a treat we were firstly kept waiting,we were then shown to our table where the food and fizz were rudely just put on the table. At no point did any staff come over to check we were ok.the sandwiches tasting like they had been left out, upon leaving no staff acknowledged us won't be returning.

Very pleasant experience of afternoon tea served by particularly friendly and attentive staff. Only problem was the fact that the only apparent access and exit is via some deep steps with no hand rail is at the entrance to the hotel.

We spent a lovely afternoon enjoying the very tasty and sumptuous afternoon tea. Waiter service excellent. Couldn't do enough for us. Made sure everything was right and my dad who used a wheelchair was comfy and settled. Experience excellent. Food very nice, well prepared, very tasty and lots of choice. Would definately recommend.

If it was not for your staff you will fail. It looks as if the accountants have been in, cut corners everywhere, the quality has gone, if it was not for the staff holding this hotel together it will fail.

Room as expected, not overlavish with nice touches but OK. We ordered two starters as bar snacks, I ordered humuus with pitta and vegetables, what turned up was a desert spoonful of humuus, absolutely no more, two small carrot sticks, half a microwaved pitta and a small stick of celery, this delight was over £4. The nachos ordered by my... More
