Visted last minute Friday evening, staff very nice. House Rose quite dry but drinkable. Food was good but very salty. Best dish we had was sweet and sour prawns, garlic rice also delicious. I still prefer The Rice Bowl but Yang Sing wasn't bad!

One of the best,if not the best Chinese restaurant in the north of Watford ! Their menu is extensive & reasonably priced. Our meal was first class, hot & sour, chicken & sweet corn soups, dim sum ( mixed) Peking Duck, sizzling fillet steak & prawns with lemongrass with ginger, the grandkids didn't leave a morsel which speaks for itself. The service was second to... More

I see that this Chinese restaurant is highly rated and among the best in Europe. The food was not bad per se, but it was nothing fantastic and I've definitely eaten better Chinese food elsewhere in Europe. The service quality of the wait staff really varied. We had two wait staff who were polite to a fault and even tried... More

Myself and my partner met a close friend here. I visited about 30 years ago when I lived in Manchester and loved it, so suggested we met here. We had a fabulous meal with attentive staff, we weren't rushed between courses. I would highly recommend it.

We were a party of three & chose to eat fairly early (7:15pm) We chose from the banquet menu at around £35 per head, our waitress was no nonsense and precise. Our food was hot & exactly what we expected . No real faults to report other than the staff could have been a little more helpful & friendly, more... More

I met a friend in Manchester on Thursday (13/4/17) and we decided to go to the Yang Sing as she had not been for ages and we always enjoy it. We decided we’d have a change from our usual starter of salt and pepper ribs and ordered three dim sum instead, sui mai, beef dumplings with ginger & spring onion... More

Expensive average food in a drab environment. The Pros: all the meat was very nicely cooked. The cons: a dark grey interior basement restaurant with no natural light gave the restaurant a canteen feel. The only break to this drabness was the dark brown table cloths. A warm welcome from the head waiter as there were only six tables being... More

The restaurant has a low key elegance in its decor. Each course of food that I was served was the best of the type I have had anywhere. Very enjoyable experience with a charming, attentive staff.

It felt as though this Manchester institution has dropped its standards a bit. The menu seemed to have changed, with no obvious veggie section (although there were plenty of veggie options spread out across the menu). The food was good, but it was a bit of a disappointment to discover that they had run out of Chinese (jasmine) tea at 9pm....
