Being Nigerian biased at least on food, I was happy to find another place to add to the list as there aren't very many. The problem with most of the others I have been to is poor customer service (slow delivery, unavailable selections, poor atitude), inconsistency and expensive prices (or shall I say not good value) For what jollof cafe... We had a lovely evening at Jollof Cafe - we were made very welcome by the owner Naa and by other diners. We tried the Kilamanjaro soup - warned several times by Naa about the heat of the chili's in the soup - and it was hot but also very nice. We ate also ground nut soup, fried chicken and... More

I came here while just passing, on a whim to see what it's like. In short, it's very good. Much as the name suggests it's a cafe rather than a restaurant, focussing on African and Caribbean food. The food was freshly made (didn't take long) and the service was friendly and efficient. The cafe itself was also spotlessly clean and... More

Our daughter first tried Jollof Café and recommended we should try it, we are glad she did. The food was outstanding. We let the owner choose our menu and we had three excellent courses. All the food is home cooked, not too spicy but full of flavour, the portions were generous and well presented. The the premises were spotless. The... More

Drove past here and decided to pop in with my mum. We sat down to a nice buffet of plantain, jollof rice, egusi soup and some chicken all for a reasonable price plus it was just nom! We wanted beef with our rice and there was chicken on the buffet the nice lady made the effort to make us some... More

Having West African friends in London, I've missed having good homemade food. My friend told me that there's a place near his house and that it was highly rated. Some recent reviews were making me a bit wary but that was unwarranted. I had Safari Beef with Jollof Rice (would've had chicken but they didn't do breast). Delicious. Just the... More

Me and my partner used to love this place and we particularly came for the Kilimanjaro Soup. However we paid a visit there recently and ordered our usual dishes. We noticed the staff were different and the welcome wasn't as warm. The Kilimanjaro soup was nothing like the one we had previously. It had different ingredients and went from a... More

We picked up safari beef and red snapper as a take away tonight. This was our first time at this place (Friday 6th November). The portion of my beef was tiny. See the photo of it next to a fork. The beef was so tough I couldn't eat a few pieces of it. There were six small pieces of this... More
