What a fantastic place, good food friendly bar staff and very helpful, if it's so good in winter what is it going to be like in summer. We went with family and friends after celebrating our nieces 30th birthday the night before, we met on Sunday lunch to say our farewells, Nathan on the bar downstairs was brilliant and very... More

The Wharf was really a great place to visit fantastic setting(even in the heavy rain) , great lunch menu and a very good variety catering for all tastes . The staff are very efficient, quick and met you with a smile. The young man behind the bar (Nathan) did a great job , made conversation and again had a smile... More

As always, visited for drinks and a meal and it was a great evening. The food is very tasty and the portions are generous, the chicken and ham hock pie is especially delicious. Our only complaint was with the creme brulee which was a bit savoury to our taste, but we told the manager and he took it off the... More

Attending an engagement party in the early evening here, we came in to the building, and weren't too sure where we were to go. We approached the staff at the bar, and they were friendly and polite, and showed us the very short way to the location. After the pleasantries were over with, I approached the bar and asked for... Great lunch, very accommodating staff, I wanted to change a dish due to food allergies and it was no problem. Wonderful salmon and a perfect steak! The beer is also very well kept. It's tricky to find as hidden in a residential area and I imagine parking maybe an issue but we were there for lunch so it was fine.

A random escape into the wharf for ours Tea. We love the wharf. We are always made to feel special. All the staff go out of their way to make your night special and remembered. Tonight, our waitress Emily was very attentive and recommend the Duck. This was fantastic. Another staff member to mention was Jess, who popped over to... More

Went on a quiet Tuesday evening with my friends. Starters included pheasant, rabbit and prune faggot with celeriac purée and mushroom gravy and "bar bites" (we chose pork pies, chipolatas and black pudding). Mains were burger and chips and duck breast with duck leg hash in a ball, sliced and layered potatoes and brocolli. Bread and butter pudding and raspberry... More

Hands down the best place to eat and/or drink in Manchester. Great selection of beers, wines and spirits. Very spacious with plenty of seating. Staff friendly and knowledgable. Great decor, I really want some of the stuff they have on the walls!! No complaints whatsoever.

I absolutely love this place. England is not a country recognised for its cuisine, so i was pleasant surprise to visit The Wharf, a lovely place in Castlefield, 10 min walking form the city centre. The restaurant is very well decorated and the food and service are great (local dishes!!). A must when you are visiting Manchester.

We had been to The Wharf a few time during the summer months when you can sit outside and enjoy your drinks in the sun, we had never tried the food, so we decided to have a meal there during December, we ordered one burger and one fish and chips and waited what seemed an age as tables that had...
