Had booked a table for 6 for Saturday to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived on time only to find that our table had been given to another group of people who hadn't booked a table. Staff made very little effort to accommodate us with another table and although the people who had been given our table had not yet... More

The service was good when it came to the starters but we waited nearly an hour for the mains. We asked for horseradish sauce to accompany the beef and it never arrived, the staff didn't approach the table to check if everything was okay, just common courtesy really and it was lacking. Average service = NO tip! Would we eat... More

We are users of The Olde Cock several times a year. On occassion it is right but too often it is wrong. The food is "pub grub" and as such it is OK. Sometimes there is no atmosphere and few people in. Why? Almost certainly because the bar service is dreadful. Young inexperienced staff and not enough of them. No... More

The pub is nicely decorated & has a Great atmosphere, good music, beaut drinks! Loved it. It's location is good as you can start at this end of didsbury and walk down the road calling in at different pubs on the way! Great night out x

I visit this pub occasionally and am always disappointed. This could be a really good pub bud sadly it is not. It's location is terrific, close to Fletcher Moss and to Didsbury Village but the pub appears to suffer from a lack of interested and professional hands on management. The bar is often understaffed, service is slow, glasses left uncollected... More

This is the second time my friends and I have been here and the food has been dreadful on both occasions. I am far from being a fussy eater but the food was so bad I really could not eat it. My friends were the same. If you are thinking of going then don't bother. The ingredients for my own... More

Went here with a large party of 20+ People for Christmas lunch. The food was delicious, the service excellent, our dietary requirements were gladly met, the room was very pleasant, good value for money, even the crackers were good quality. Highly recommend it.

Lunch for four , there were hardly any other diners but bar staff made no attempt to be friendly when taking our order . Quick service and food was nice enough ( unusual to have both ordinary potato and sweet potato chips mixed which were good ) . The lack of customers in a large room meant there was no... More

Returned from the ordering area three times as there was virtually nothing left available from the menu.Sunday Roast at 1630 on Sunday had run out or steaks!. Had we had time wed've left and found somewhere else. The bar and drinks selection is good to be fair but the service is woefully slow, almost as if all the staff avoid... More
