Visited during the week when taking some time off work. Felt very covid safe. The waitress was warm and attentive and the food was yummy!

As beautiful as ever. We arrived early in the morning as they opened, so had the place to ourselves for the first 45 minutes. We were keen for a light breakfast. Toast wasn’t on the menu, but when I asked, they were happy to oblige....Not only did I receive two slices of gorgeous sourdough toast, but they were perfectly toasted, AND came with quality jam and marmalade in small glass jars. John ordered a bacon sandwich, and again loved the sourdough toast, as well as quality bacon cooked just right. A pot of tea for two, which the staff offered to top up for us, completes a great breakfast. We were seated in the corner, and when other customers arrived there was good spacing between us. The toilets are downstairs - clean and well set up. Good service, helpful and efficient, and the pleasure of spending time in this lovely, character space which in the current premises has plenty of natural flight from the large windows during the daytime. Richmond tea rooms continue to be a quality and classy place to eat.More

We travelled here after seeing the place online so thought we’d treat for my mums birthday. We ordered the breakfasts, presentation was good but the food was cold. Waiter was so rude. He was awful through out but after paying he didn’t even say thank...you or goodbye, just placed my card on the table and walked off. Made the visit unpleasant and as it was my mums birthday we thought it would of been a nice experience. Would not recommendMore

Having had afternoon tea in some of our wonderful prestigious hotels across the country, this...sits in there quite nicely. The surroundings are quirky and relaxing, and lovely friendly staff and please try the Boston cream cake...More

Staff were unhelpful and clearly our waitress didn’t want to be there. We waited ages to be served once seated and then equally as long to receive our food. The afternoon tea was bland and very little effort made. I ordered an almond milk tea...and the milk was lumpy!!! Vile! My fiancé’s latte was tasteless! The food seemed old and slightly stale! Very over priced and wouldn’t recommend at all. The tables were covered in previous food and crumbs and was sticky!!! Wish we had gone somewhere else!More

We were visiting Manchester and went here for breakfast following a recommendation. The setting is lovely, quirky and fun. We were served by Tom who made us feel very welcome and was very interesting to chat to. Loved the pink flower Tom! Food was great...I had a full English my daughter had pancakes with bacon and syrup, also had wonderful milkshakes which we would highly recommend. Hope to go back for afternoon tea next time we’re in Manchester as the cakes look amazing.More
