A little over rated - not as expected. Due to start at 18.45 - seated after anticipated time. Table service advised for drinks - 45 minutes later & only after going to the bar to prompt them did we get served. Tip - maybe offer...a welcome drink whilst you get everyone seated. Nicely decorated & set out. A few party games throughout the night - interactive with audience. Tea stand with finger sandwiches & cakes served. Characters mingled with the crowd / had fun. Drinks a little on the pricey side ( when you get them ) ! Next time - maybe just try the tea rooms , well themed for Alice in Wonderland.More

I booked this as a birthday treat for my mum and her sisters. They were blown away by the whole experience. They loved the Alice in Wonderland decor, the Tweedle afternoon tea and the service and staff were fantastic. Thank you for making them feel...very specialMore

Lovely decor. We only had a pot of tea in here re time but the breakfast looked good and the cakes were very tempting! Would have liked to have had more time in Manchester so that we could have gone back. The staff were friendly.

A really lovely little cafe near the Alan Turing Memorial and 5 minutes walk from Picadilly. It's Alice in Wonderland themed if that's your thing, but more importantly it serves possibly the best veggie breakfast I have ever had, copious tea (and the cakes looked...good) and all with excellent service. Nothing not to like.More

Visited here on Saturday with my family (4 x 40 somethings and my mum 78). Pros: Afternoon tea was nice, nothing special but nice. Good choice of teas and nice prosecco. Good selection of cakes but scone was very dry and broke up into pieces....Our waitress was lovely however. Cons: The place was busy which is great but we were rammed in like sardines. Literally we had to ask other tables to move their tables so we could get in our seats and after that we felt like we couldn’t then move! Staff didn’t try to help and we just had to sort ourselves out! Service was slow at times. Was probably 20 minutes before we were asked if we wanted drinks etc, they simply didn’t have enough staff! Would recommend but only off peak and would specifically ask for a booth!More

Stumbled upon this place by accident. Was unbelievably impressed. The inside was decorated so lovely. The food was amazing and I’ve never been anywhere that has staff so friendly. We had afternoon tea for one and then a sandwich for one. Will be visiting again...when we are back in Manchester! Definitely recommendMore

We loved every second of our visit here. The decor was outstanding, with a wonderful Alice in Wonderland theme. I highly recommend the cakes, and the scones were to die for, but very filling. Best of all though we're the friendly staff, who snuck us...in when we hadn't booked. A big shout out to George who looked after us so well. Thank you for a wonderful tea!More

Me and my partner recently visited for our anniversary and it was so lovely! All the food was delicious and they had plenty of vegan options which is perfect for me. I’d especially recommend the jammie dodger cake. We were served by the lovely George...and he really went the extra mile to make our day special, including taking some lovely photos of us in front of all their lovely decor. We will definitely be back!More

With a Canal St card, you can get 10% knocked off your food bill. Everyone in my party went for the afternoon teas- two got the Queens Tea. All of them can be made vegan which suited my other friend perfectly! I got the Smashed...Avocado on Toast which came with some delightful beetroot hummus. I’d recommend adding a poached egg for a bit more substance. I also treated myself to a slice of Victoria Sponge Cake that I took home- everything about the cream, strawberry jam and vanilla sponge was fabulous and very much satisfied my sweet tooth! The service we received was friendly, attentive and accommodating.More

Brought here for the first time by my daughter during Manchester Pride. Just the look of the venue from the entrance was very impressive with an Alice In Wonderland theme, beautiful floral decor hung all around the restaurant. It was very busy so is obviously...popular but all the staff were welcoming and accommodating even at a peek time of the day. The afternoon tea was lovely, beautiful presentation and very fresh and even the crockery was very nostalgic to my own childhood. Would highly recommend.More
