Four of us visited for Afternoon Tea after booking in advance online. We even received a reminder to confirm we were still attending! Initially we were squeezed into a table by the entrance, but another member of staff moved us to another table by a window where there was more room. (Good initiative) The decor and fixtures and fittings of... More

Went here for late afternoon tea and when we saw the menu we decided to go for a sandwich and cake rather than the set tea. The portions are really good and we didn't have room for the cake! I had apple tea which was lovely and we had a bottle of wine which was unfortunately warm. Staff were friendly... More

Enchanting decor which added to the experience of an elegant afternoon tea. Patient but attentive waiter who left us 3 gossiping women to take forever to even open the menu! we chose the Queen's Afternoon Tea and a bottle of prosecco. Great selection of cakes and savouries and quite reasonable price. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Went here after work with 2 friends. Firstly the decor is wonderful: quirky and bright with lots of different things to look at, think I spent the first five minutes just gazing around at the pictures and decorations. We had the Queen's tea (£18) It was so much lovely food. Every was well made and tasty, and the 'Richmond Tea'... More

We booked a table at Richmond tea rooms for a very special occasion, my parent's in laws 50th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly host. He said he had our reservation & would check whether our table was ready. As we waited, we immediately began to appreciate the quirky, yet elegant decor of the... More

Myself and a friend visited here whilst staying in Manchester, very quaint and lovely, decor was amusing, afternoon tea was lovely.. £23 a person, little bit expensive when you think it was £46 for a sandwich and cake, but it was a treat you don't do everyday so we didn't mind, only down side is you have to sit where... Fabulous tea rooms based on Alice in Wonderland. Had a magical kingdom feel. Very nice staff~ very quirky décor. We had a hatter's tea (vegetarian option) which was delicious. We went early evening so wasn't too busy but I believe you can book for peak times.

I, along with my wife and daughter have been visiting Richmond Tea Rooms for last 2/3 years. Whenever we are in the city this is the place we most look forward to visiting. Having read a recent review I couldn't believe that the writer had been to the same place we know. Whenever we have visited the staff have been... More

Beautiful decor and very friendly staff. All of the food was delicious not just the cakes and tea. Book in advance as it is always very busy.

Myself and 4 friends visited today, we arrived about 10 minutes before it even opened, but they let us sit at our table and wait, we were sat in the conservatory room bit! The waitress was absolutely lovely and the service was excellent and quick!! We all had the Queens tea.......the food was lovely, 3 finger sandwiches, a mini quiche... More
