We came here for our wedding anniversary and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The food was absolutely delicious and our waiter and all of the staff were really attentive. I am gluten free and they really looked after me. Can’t wait to go back!

Lovely place to visit while in Manchester. Beautiful building, great atmosphere even in these uncertain times, cocktails recommended. I commend the staff on their handling of Covid restrictions, although at times they looked as though they were pushed to the limit, they kept smiling! Difficult...time for lots of us but these young people must be worried sick that they will soon be out of work, spare a thought and be patient and kind.More

We booked afternoon tea for our mums birthday. We came a few years ago for Mother’s Day, the food and service was just perfect then so we rebooked. This visit was no different. Kim our waitress today was so lovely and polite. Checked on us...regularly and took a photo for us too, thanks Kim 🙂 The afternoon tea is a nice treat, good variety of savoury sandwiches and the cakes are really tasty! Nice coffee and a lovely rhubarb & raspberry gin to finish. Great bar, great food and lovely staff. A nice afternoon making memories with my family.More

Just had Sunday lunch at Browns. We are a family of three. The Covid Restrictions were followed and the diners were all spaced appropriately without feeling forced. We all had roast beef as we had been advised that it was particularly good. I usually have...chicken because I find it hard to get beef to my liking. The beef was amazing, it was exactly how I like it. I had Eton Mess for dessert, this was lovely too. My son being a couldn’t decide between 2 deserts - Profiteroles or Lemon Tart. We got both and he shared with his dad. I will be back. I must mentioned the waitress, I didn’t get her name but she was very sweet, a charming Irish lady.More

Always a big fan of Browns, we had to pop to the Manchester restaurant in on our visit to the city! We were not disappointed, it was great!! The staff were really on it in terms of COVID procedures, but it was done subtly. Highly...recommend a visit, food and cocktails were fabulous.More

We arrived tonight at 9.05 pm....checked in with our details and sat down...a waiter finally asked what we would like to drink at 9..15 pm....10 minutes in a nearly empty Barr?? Come on! We ordered a bottle of red wine for 4 peoples....bearing in mind...we had a table booked at a nearby restaurant for 9.30 Pm..we ordered our wine.....how long does it take to open a bottle of wine??? We waited another 5 minutes...no wine and our restaurant booking was only 10 minutes away.....so....we went to the bar and cancelled the order.......this is not the first time we havre experienced this....we had to do the exactly same thing last month....I know things are different because of Covid...but come on! 20 minutes wait before we get our order for drinks in a half empty bar is NOT acceptable........I love this bar ..it’s decor and ambience is great....service is extremely poorMore

Myself and two friends had booked for afternoon tea last Saturday, a well deserved treat after the children had gone back to school! Unfortunately the experience wasn’t what we expected. Our order was taken and mixed up in the kitchen with 3 vegetarian options coming...out to us when we only ordered one. When the correct order came out we had stale sandwiches, hardly any filling and felt like it was thrown together, very unappealing and looked nothing like the photo advertised. Our waitress asked us after we had finished with the food if we wished to have hot drinks (surely this should be given at the beginning) and presumed all wanted tea with no option given to choose coffee. We left disappointed!!More
