Following the refurbishment as you enter the restaurant you now get the 'wow' factor. The decor white and gold made the restaurant look bright, light and opulent. Crisp white table clothes adorned the dinning tables. The reception staff and waiters were all smartly dressed in...More

Visited here with my fiancée for an evening meal and we were not disappointed. The level of service was impeccable and the food was delicious, albeit slightly pricey, the bill totalled £80 for two people but it was definitely an impressive experience. We would return...More

Took forever to get served, bar staff were more interested in chatting to each other than serving. Felt more like we were intruding than being welcomed, wouldn't recommend the place

Christmas shopping trip ended with a lovely meal here. Great selection of food and drinks and the atmosphere brilliant. The only thing I would suggest is more options in the desserts.

My girlfriend and I are staying in Manchester in a few weeks to celebrate being together 3 years. I am planning on asking her to marry me. Would this restaurant be a suitable/romantic environment to propose to her in?

Basically, yes, it would be fine. Some alternatives to consider nearby might be Piccolino's or Gino d'Acampo or, completely different, the champagne bar at Selfridges before dinner at any of them. Good luck.
