Four of us visited Gios on the evening of 13th Jan 16. We all had a starter and main course each and we all agreed that the food was of a very good quality. The service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and professional. A most enjoyable experience without breaking the bank.

Had the pre - theatre 2 course special here tonight with my wife. My starters of pate and my wife's of garlic mushrooms were both superb. For mains we both had a pizza, mine was made up of pepperoni, chillies, peppers and onions and was wonderful as was my wife's ham and pineapple. Drinks; a glass of red and a... More

I recently ate here with my partner and 2 family members, the food was very tasty, and the service was excellent, the staff where very friendly and chatty and always smiling which you do not often see anymore. the only down fall was that was that its a very small restaurant and seems to be very popular so bigger premises... Had the three course pre theatre menu and the food was excellent and good value. Negative points to be aware of though. As soon as you finish one course the next course arrives straight away without having a break. Check your bill as it is scribbled out and you can hardly read it - we were charged £4.00 extra! This... We had the pre theatre dinner menu prior to attending a concert.at.Bridgewater hall. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient. The food is a high standard and was very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend for a meal before.visiting Bridgewater concert hall. Good value food but drinks a.bit on the expensive.side.

After eating nearby but not being entirely satisfied, my friends and I came in to Gio's for dessert and coffee at around 2:30pm. The staff were very welcoming and we had a great time. The desserts were excellent as were the drinks. I can't wait to try Gio's out for a full meal sometime in the new year.

I agree with a lot of the good reviews that I've read BUT we found the food rather tasteless. We opted for the Tomato Bread starter and then opted for the Calzone Pizza. The Tomato Bread didn't seem to have any seasoning and the calzone was rather tasteless. There was plenty of spinach, chicken. spinach, cheese & spinach but very... More

An incredibly busy restaurant when we went for a pre theatre supper. The front of house staff were really helpful in finding us a table after a short wait. The waiting staff were excellent. Clearly dedicated to their jobs. The food was superb and the whole experience was wonderful. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Welcoming, very busy restaurant. Very good food, nice surroundings, extremely pleasant and efficient staff. Went there before going to concert at the Bridgewater Hall and will definitely go again. My only negative comment is that we found the price of drinks to be expensive
