Honestly can’t remember ever having a better roast. We opted for the sharing trio and it was all amazing, the meat and the veg. Will definitely be back.

The only place in Manchester to get a consistently good Sunday Roast. Every time is fantastic, we were served by Megan on the 18th and she was incredible. So knowledgeable and a credit to the company. Once again the food was exceptional, will be back.

We visited last Sunday for brunch and this Sunday for a roast - can't get enough of this place! Food is unreal - honestly best vegan roast I tried! Décor is beautiful but cosy, not pretentious and I can't thank you enough for being so...dog friendly. We always try to take our little dog with us to eat and this is the most accomodating place we came across so far. We were served by a lady called Meghan (I think!) We were in the little garden bit Sunday 25th and the service was faultless. This restaurant deserves all the support in these challenging time!More

Amazing food, staff and wine. As always the food here is delicious. The steak is so tasty and the cocktails are great. Order loads between you and just try a bit of everything!

From the offset, refuge is so friendly and welcoming, the host who seated me was very friendly and made sure that everything that needed to be was explained, the cocktail I had, made by Maria, was absolutely wonderful and so flavourful, Champa gave me excellent...service in the restaurant and made sure that I was well looked after. I would definitely recommend this establishment to my friends and family.More

Sensational! Wow, wow wow!!! We cannot express enough how perfect this place is. The decor throughout is stunning and very classy. We particularly enjoyed the winter garden area. The food is incredible. The flavours so fantastic and the choices were varied. We loved the ox...cheek and the steak was out of this world. The service is of a very high standard. We were served by Luke who treated us like VIP’s all night. Luke was very attentive and was running his area like a well oiled ship attending to everybody swiftly and with such professionalism. Luke was kind enough to present us with a special anniversary dessert to share which was a lovely touch. This is definitely our new favourite in Manchester and we are already planning our return!More

First visit since Covid and very happy that these guys are back open. Lovely food, lovely service and very relaxed setting. We really enjoyed the tasty food and delicious Pinot Grigo. Our waitress Champy (sorry if it is spelt wrong), was a delight and very...professional. We will be back.More

The roast dinner platter for two was really tasty and came with more than enough food for two. The roast potatoes were crispy and beef cooked to perfection. The chicken was slightly dry and could have done with more gravy. We wanted to get cauliflower...cheese and stuffing as sides but unfortunately they had run out of both. This might have been because we booked the table for 4pm. Instead, we got cheesy mash, which was the best cheesy mash I’ve ever had and went great with the roast. However, they did forget about this order but once we reminded them it came quickly. The staff were friendly - we asked to change our wine after we had opened the bottle and they were happy to do this for us. The decor was amazing, we sat in the conservatory part with high ceilings, plants and lots of light.More

If you want to eat dinner in here you need plenty of time as the service in here is the worst i can remember of anywhere. 30 minutes to be asked if i wanted a drink in a half full at best restaurant, staff were...not rushed they just preferred to stand around taking to each other or chatting to the pretty girls on other tables, serving the average Joe was far too much trouble. I spent 2 hours to eat 2 courses, with significant effort i managed to get 2 drinks. Absolutely shocking for the only restaurant of a very nice hotel. On a positive note it was decent value for money for central Manchester and the food was fine.More
