Gorgeous country pub, great food, great beers (Green King), Chris the owner was very friendly to our party. All round good evening. No need to book, gorgeous puddings!
After spending 4 weeks in Chipping Campden, the Red Lion Pub is certainly one of the places we'll miss most. Great service, good beer selection, tasty food and one of the best beer gardens in town where I was able to enjoy my beers and...More
We stopped into the Red Lion for dinner on our only night in Chipping Campden, and were happy with the service and food we had. We stuck with pub grub favorites: sausage and mash for me, and beef pie for her, washed down with a...More

We went here for an evening meal and was quite disappointed the staff were not that welcoming and it was average pub food not even great pub food, we wouldn't go back.

We had dinner last night - simple but delicious burgers and incredible chips, Guinness on tap. Can't be beat. The bun and burger fixings were so good, and it was a beautiful sunny late afternoon to sit outside. Plenty of seating.
Thank you for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed your meal with us. We hope that we can be of service again in the future.
The lady who served was nice enough, but the food took quite a while to come and was pretty bland when it did. Average at best! May be better if you had a different dish, but ours was pretty tasteless :(
We are sorry you did not enjoy your meal. We would have willingly cooked something else for you if it was raised with staff during your visit.
Fish and chips were generous in size and tasty. Lamb was delicious. Typical pub decor but the serving staff made this restaurant one not to miss. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with activity suggestions. We were made to feel right at home. We tried...More
