We chose to eat in the bar, which was very pleasant although the dining room also looked really nice. We both had roast chicken, nicely prepared and presented, reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and attentive.

We had Saturday lunch in the bar which was very good, a nice selection of food with vegetarian options, the service was good, It is a venue we have been to on several occasions and it doesn't disappoint.

Having checked into the hotel, we decided on lunch: the place has apparently won awards for its food. The guy in front of us asked if he could keep a tab open and was told no, they used to do this but "it is now illegal". I later checked and can't see anything to that effect on the internet. Later... We were looking for something nice but friendly and found both at King's. We took advantage of the reasonable fishand chip Friday offer (£13.50 + drink) We opted for olives to start and cheese board to end accompanied by glasses of the house red! All was lovely.

We ate here on a Saturday evening (we booked that morning so the only time they could fit us in was 7.15pm) and when we arrived the staff we really welcoming but there was only one other couple in the dining room. The couple were sat in silence looking at their phones so we felt like we couldn't really chat... More

The Kings hotel is beautiful. Would love to stay there sometime, but for this trip only stopped in late to the pub for a draft and some freshly cooked mussels in cream broth. With hearty bread - it was heaven. The perfect topper on a rainy day in Chipping Campden!

Chipping Camden is lovely and provides a wonderful backdrop to a visit to the Cotswolds, particularly since that Monday the sun put in a prolonged appearance and we were able to opt for lunch in the garden of the Kings. So, i think it fair to say that our expectations of a great light lunch were high. The hotel was... More

Friendly, efficient staff serving good beer and decent house wine. What more could one need? We only had a drunk but the food looked good and the clientele looked happy.

We booked to stay here for 1 night whilst we were up visiting friends. We had a lovely room at the front (106), uneven floors that made walking about something to think about. We only had a bar meal here as we had eaten earlier at the Chef's Dozen. The food was nice and tasty, the waiter was friendly and... More

We popped to Kings for lunch and dinner while staying in Chipping Campden. Lunch was good and the staff were very pleasant and professional. We had one of their open sandwiches which was very tasty. Dinner was great, we opted for 3 courses the quality of food and service was next to nothing. Again the staff were very professional when... More
