A wide menu and wine list, and our choices proved very good. Starter, main course and large glass of wine came to £30 per head.

The first thing that surprised us was the number of dishes on offer. We ate in the bar area which was fairly quiet. Service was fast and efficient, whilst still being friendly. Food arrived promptly and the portions were quite large, at least for us.

I came here twice in the same day. Once before I checked in to my B&B down the road and again after as it was so pleasant. I sat outside enjoying the sun with a ginger beer. The staff were friendly and ultimately that persuaded me to come back later and have a Sunday lunch. Once checked in and refreshed... More

We been here on a Monday night when nearly everything else was closed. The placeplace was nice and packed, but we were happy to wait. After 10 mins we were seating at the table and ordered after 5 mins. Well presented and delicious dishes. Not too expensive. Well done.

Best to book a table if you want to eat here as is quite popular. Chilli came with a lovely salad and was freshly cooked. All food seems to be freshly cooked which is why you might have to wait a while to get your meal. But is really delicious. well worth the wait in a lovely atmosphere.

We loved this restaurant. Arrived late but staff still was so attentive to us. Enjoyed the fresh fish and fresh vegetables. Our first time at English food and loved every bit of it. Clean plate club!

After reading the nice comments on TripAdvisor we were disappointed! After very long waiting we received a big piece of cod with a none tasting crust and a good tasting porc. The wine was average.

Great setting, great food, but very slow service. I had the lamb shank and the meat was so tender it fell off the bone. Husband had the chicken breast with bacon gravy. He enjoyed his as well. Would definitely recommend it if you like pub food.

Lovely meal. We had a starter and a main and to be fair didn't need the starter. Lovely home cooked food at very reasonable price with a varied menu. You could go every night for a week and eat something different. Service was great and friendly.
