Popped in for a quiet coffe and found the cakes unappetising and after seeing the toast which was burnt black served to another customer, we didn't try the food.

We had a lovely lunch at Amy's Tearooms yesterday. The gluten free choices were plentiful, including lasagne ( with GF garlic bread!!), curries, quiche, pasta bake, Welsh rarebit and gf bread for any of the sandwich options. Add that to a warm and friendly waiter and it is a great place to visit if you're in Lancaster. * cash only,... More

We happened upon Amy's recently, and in need of a break we went in. It was quiet, one other couple in there. We approached the counter to be greeted, and perused the cakes. Choosing our cakes and coffee we sat down. The order was brought shortly afterwards, and tasted fine. When we had finished, we paid at the counter and... More

Visited here as read some good reviews and it stated gluten free options. On arrival, I was quite excited about the gluten free options, small cafe, little tired decor but it did have an open kitchen which I always like. Blonde lady was friendly and took our order, which we ordered lasagne with side salad , gluten free option and... More

I saw someone commented on the decor, can't say I noticed either way as I go to eat! The staff were lovely, we visited about 1230 on a Saturday, we took the last table ( we deliberately chose it as it was so busy, as we are not local) the young lad who served us very quickly, warned us there... A bit off the beaten track we stumbled over Amy's in need of a cuppa. It was quite early in afternoon but was told there was only cakes available which was ok. Decor a bit tired. Ladies were friendly and happy to explain what a wagon wheel cake was. There were no cakes on show to make a choice and... More

Stopped here for lunch as we have taste card, and got 241, but came away underwhelmed. The young lad taking our order plopped himself down slumped in a chair, felt like he wasn't too fussed to be there. He then went into the kitchen area, took his trainer and sock off and started scratching his feet... Nice! Food was actually... More

Stopped off for the first time with my family and had some lovely paninis for lunch together with a few drinks. The waiter recommended a new hot chocolate which my daughter really enjoyed. Will definitely be going back.
