Great food, wine and reasonably price considering the quality. Try the Roast Rack of Lighthorne Lamb followed by their Apple Tart Tatin, brilliant! Located only a five minute walk from the Parade in the centre of Town.

My meal was stunning with subtle flavours but my husband's sirloin steak was not so good. Service was very good. Small jewel in an area full of Indian restaurants.

Recently went here for a birthday dinner with friends. The wine list was impressive. The set menu had changed slightly, but the staff was very amenable and explained the changes to it. Booking was very easy. The dessert was to die for! Best meringue I've had in a long time with fresh strawberries.

Having eaten at Eleven a number of times the food is consistently of good quality and nicely cooked. This is not a fine dining restaurant nor does it pretend to be, but delivers the kind of tasty food one would expect in rural France. Not everything is perfect, I have certainly had better potato dauphinoise and some of the sauces... More

We've often eaten at Eleven, but this was our first visit for over a year and it remains as good as ever. On a hot summer's evening, there was cold gazpacho and utterly gorgeous seared scallops for starters and pan-fried plaice with ratatouille and potatoes, followed by strawberries with home-made meringue and chantilly cream (deconstructed Eton mess, really). The smells... More

What a fantastic, mid-week treat. I smiled the whole way throughout dinner, because the food felt like one big giant cuddle. I had cheese and bacon tart, steak frites and cherry and almond tart with vanilla ice cream. All of which were very well cooked and tasted delicious. It was £16.50 for the three courses and it really was exceptional... More

The recent refit made this hidden gem of a restaurant even more appealing; everything about the place is exquisite

We decided to book a table on a Wednesday with very short notice. The restaurant was not busy, only 2/3 tables occupied. However because of the friendly staff and the background music it did not feel uncomfortable. We decided upon the Menu Terroir - we have dined here several times previously but not for many years. The waitress was very... More

We're been going here for years but for some reason have never got round to reviewing. There's no showboating here, no centrally imposed menus you get in the big chains, just delicious and seasonally-varied food. Meals always come with freshly-baked bread, and you can go A la Carte or have the weekly-changing menu terroir Tues - Thurs at an extremely... More

I have been to Eleven several times before. Following my last visit around six months ago I gave it a 5 rating. This time the moules mariniere main course was very small indeed, and the mussels were tiny. The accompanying fries were hardly French fries, in fact they were oven chips, not much sign of crusty bread or white wine... More
