I come in regularly and I always find the food very good and the service is great, it's a lovely small country pub that's worth a visit to anyone nearby

I have become a fairly regular visitor to this pub which seems like a very well kept secret because it can be quiet which doesn't reflect the service or food. Well I think that the secret should get out because I think it knocks spots of the competition. The pub has just undergone a refurb which just makes me like... More

It was a nice evening and we couldn't be bothered to make tea so my daughter, wife and myself drove to the New Hall as it was a frequent destination for family meals. The food was as usual adequate and satisfying, nothing outrageous, but thoroughly enjoyable. As it was a Wednesday evening it was fairly quiet with plenty of places... More

The NHT is an old style pub and there aren't many left so we would hate to see it change too much. The food is just great ... we often call in for lunch and have always enjoyed our meal. Especially good are the hand cut chips and home-made pies. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. We would... More

Came for a family meal. Long hairs found in my sons food. Replacement given but no discount or great apology/explanation given. Had to ask for the children's dessert ,as after waiting a while no waitress had come to clear our dirty plates! Pub a little run down. Wouldn't return or recommend.

Only a mile from junction 31 M6 (towards Clitheroe); easy parking. Very basic pub but clean enough. Very good meal; 'dessert of the day' was brilliant orange/lemon sponge and custard; very nice.

It was 2pm+...didn't want a fuss...so headed here! Nice day so sitting out seemed to make sense...but smokers had claimed the fresh air! Inside...is that fair? Half a dozen real ales to choose & @ £3.25, that ain't so bad? We had tuna sandwich & cheese & tomato baguette (comes with a few chips)...all the food was great...paying 60p for... More

Popped in for a drink on a lovely summers day after driving past on many occasions - nice beer selection and seems a good place that will be worth another visit - didn't eat but it looked good!
